Carlos Newton did this move on Renzo Gracie in their Pride fight & he dumped Renzo right onto his head hard.

That’s a great drill for little kids! One kid on the 7/8 team throws 3/4 and Coach doesn’t like that. Is there a “right or wrong” when throwing at that age? Side note and he has one of the better arms.

A true inspiration, I will look at this video occasionally to see what is possible at any age. Arthritis has slowed me down, but if I could talk to Mr Pistons, I bet his advice would be to stay active, and don’t let Father Time have the upper hand!

How do you stop throwing like this because I hate it ?
@jflq0122 жыл бұрын
Did you get this naturally? I am a natural three quarters and I enjoy it, so to stop it is just basically find your most comfortable arm slot and start practicing from that comfortable arm slot

So you’re telling me that k could’ve done this instead of doing over hand serves during tryouts and I didn’t get in because of my overhand serves not getting over the net???? Damn

This was my father. He was an incredible athlete and an even more impressive human. He passed away after battling Alzheimer's for several years. If there is one take-away that I would like the community to understand about my father is that he believed in consistency and continuous self-improvement. Even into his late 80's, he was still going to the gym daily and developing himself.

So sorry to learn about coach Pistone. He was my track coach at Randolph High School. Six years ago I wrote a comment about how much his influence meant to me then and now.. It is at the bottom of this page. Read it again, and it is still true. Deepest condolences to you and your entire family. Steve Prenovitz, Atlanta, GA

@@stevenprenovitz3255 Steve, I read your note recently, a few months after he passed. I think he may have told me this story before, your name is familiar and so is the story. I wished he had seen your note.... Would love to chat on the phone at some point, I'd appreciate learning about your experiences working with him. Can you email me at [email protected]?

Wow, when you think about all the guys out there in their 40's and 50's who have just given up on themselves and think that they are to old to be physically active.. But it's great we have people like your Dad to prove that you can be fit at any age..

Yes it is. He was my father. Passed from Alzheimer's. His body would have lasted until 100+ if it wasn't for his mind that took him. Thanks for your comment.
