Just had a 55% bamboo 35% Tencel and 10% elastane and it was the best shirt for a summer hike I ever had. Had both synthetic and merino before but for summer the bamboo is absorbent, cooling and amazing feeling on the skin. Also it was drying pretty well. AND IT DOESN'T STINK AT ALL. I was sweating for two days in it and I could use it for a day more no problem. For me in the stink factor it is comparable to merino. You used mostly cotton shirt which doesn't tell much about the bamboo. So it will be merino for winter bamboo for summer from now on. Also nice thing is that the bamboo is half the price of merino.

Nice car nice sound, definitely worth the effort. It's just a pity you have those hideous bumpers either side of the number plate. Thankfully, we don't have them on European Porsches.

With a title like "modified stock exhaust " I assumed it was DIY mod... The video did not explain or show that you just replaced the entire exhaust with a new one that was modified at a factory. That is why so many complain that you did not show the mod. Video should explain better what it is and that it is not a mod you do at home yourself.

Okay, a point to be made about bamboo holding onto more water and evaporating water relatively quickly...it's cooling you faster. If you were, say, in Las Vegas right now, as I write this, and the outdoor temperature was around 110 degrees Fahrenheit, you would be cooling off better than you would wearing either synthetic or merino wool. (Or plain cotton for that matter).

When you went to remove the exhaust clamp, I was saying “Let’s see how he goes here” because I’ve heard it’s troublesome. When I heard the “Many Unbearable Hours Later”, I laughed SO hard!! I’ve been there so many times with various things. Your humour and realism is awesome! The big thing though, was the end result. Your decision to go back to the stock exhaust is enlightening, informative and a great warning. Your thoughts in advance are what mine would have been. Great to see the reality before going there myself. Thanks!!!

If you pull the reservoir cap and. cover it with a piece of plastic film then reinstall the cap the lack of air movement will keep most of the fluid in the system. Kind of like putting your finger on the top of a straw.

I've got a Turner 8 oz. catch can to install and I already have the IPD plenum, so I have to use the port provided on the other side. I agree on the area you chose for the installation placement is a good pick, due to really tight quarters in the engine bay. Hope this solves the issue of oil ingestion.

your bamboo one was over fifty percent cotton though. And that's the worst for drying. Take hundred percent bamboo.

I have a RUF 3800S boxster with a 3.8 911 engine. Also a GT4 transmission which revs to 3000 rpm at 70 MPH. Not going to pay 3500 for a Fabspeed or , gulp, 5K for a capristo. Contemplating giving this a shot. Quality looks good. Tommy L Garage has a video showing exact placement of vacuum and electrical lines for a different valved system.

Great detailed video. By the end result, it’s a real bummer mate. But all people’s perception of cabin drum tolerance is different, and without the opportunity to sit in an auto and listen for yourself, it was worth a shot (but I would say that, being that it was easy for me to watch instead of go through the expense and time you did). Personally, I’d just open it up when you feel like getting some attention, unloaded cruising, or when the roof’s down, and leave it closed the rest of the time. Like everything though, modifications are always going to be about 90% research. You did what you could. Thanks for sharing! 👏

Great video! I’ve been thinking about this exhaust for years now… still haven’t pulled the trigger.

Unfair comparison as Bamboo contain a mixture of materials and one of them being cotton which is absolutely terrible for holding on to water and equally to dry as well. Would have thrown a cotton T shirt in as well for comparison, but thank you as reckon I will stick with Merino despite its price.
