thank you for this beautiful talk, ms. korhonen! I’m a law graduate from nigeria seeking a pívot into legal design and I’m curious about one thing: the business case for transparency in contract design, especially in the absence of regulation? I mean, there’s a reason companies for example like to put exclusion clauses and other contestable parts of contracts in tiny text because it’s to their advantage. do you see them adopting contract design and becoming more transparent? even if it means losing some of that advantage? I mean technology is disruptive in itself but do you think those involved such as companies have more to lose than to gain? thank you!

Hi Chioma, thank you for this! You are absolutely right. Sometimes companies use tiny text to their advantage so that the unfavorable clauses would not be so visible. But the world is changing, consumer behavior is changing: we demand more transparent and balanced contracting. And while it may seem that companies would be losing some of the advantage, if they are playing the long game, they do benefit from increased trust and transparency with their clear and understandable - and fair! - terms.

Thanks, a helpful video. It would be good to have examples underlying the trends, e.g. how do you actually track ROI.
