I am about to send this to friends because they don’t know what a viola is and I play the viola and they keep calling it a violin and they are two complete different instruments 😢😢

Mrs. Juhl, have you seen this video yet? About how the pegs sit after winding a string - I've been doing this since last year when changing strings and it's made things so much easier, less strain on the left hand when tuning, too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGiYc6yEocmpa7M&ab_channel=kevinleeluthier

I believe this is a Tertis model viola, judging by the small upper bouts and the wide lowers, and arching that goes all the way to the edge. I used to have one like it, then traded it in following the advice of my teacher at the time. They're known for a very 'chocolate' like sound.

Juana Zayas' 1983 Recording of the Chopin Etudes has recently been mentioned in the Chopin Podcast of tonebase as "the" recording! I could not agree more. It is a complete mystery to me why this Lady is not better known internationally. No Wikipedia entry. 91 views of her KZbin rendition of Chopins Ballade no 4. What a shame an artist of her technical abilities and musicality is not better known.

TERRIFIC, Ching !! 🙌🏻 This is a very enjoyable, well produced introduction to DOC NYC's purpose & workshop events -- not to mention, all the talented, creative people (including you !) attending and associated with this important festival. I think that some segment of the American (if not world ?) population unfortunately dismisses documentaries as "boring /dull /bland". Well, they're _missing out_ on some fantastic, well told stories that can enlighten them on a subject -- and possibly enrich their lives in the process ! Looking forward to Part 2 ! 😊 😎
