Great video. Although pt care should be at forefront, with steady declines in skilled Part A reimbursement as well as constant declines in the Physician Fee schedule prices for cpt codes, declines when Assistants see Part Bs, declines when one CPT code is used for multiple units even across disciplines, etc, productivity is the simplest ways to At least control cost because generating revenue is on a constant decline unfortunately. Typically as an evaluating PT/OT Im expected to be 85%. I think for assistants 90-92%. It’s been like this for years. I think this is very doable. Many days when i don’t have paperwork Like progress notes, recerts, evals my productivity is higher if im only treating. I take advantage of group concurrent billing when residents are in the gym together. I’ve never had a resident that didn’t love working another person; however I still give them Individual time I’ve worked in many different settings and SNFs always seem to pull me back. You just have to adapt with the changes.

How many days do you work in the week? Do you do PRN at two buildings? And is it either 6 or 3 hr shifts?
@LovelyyOT
@LovelyyOT 2 ай бұрын
I use to work with multiple companies - the amount of buildings will depend on need for day.. I had a PRN gig that I stayed at for a year, just that 1 building

😮 7.15 mark, 7.28 mark of video you say AXE your question, thats embarrassing you cant say ASK not AXE, i see so many black people who cannot properly say the word ASK instead of AXE.

Once I retire from my HR job in about 3 yrs or less (Note: I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Mgmt and a Master’s Degree in HR Mgmt) (but still work as needed as a Real Estate Investor), the plan is to look into going to get my doctorate degree in OT and to work at the hospital. Maybe 5 yrs later after getting used to working full-time, I would look into just working PRN. I am married so we plan on having 1 kid (or no kid) so I want to be able to make my own schedule if I can help it.

How do you usually plan your day , sequence Do you keep the evals as first then the treatments and discharge ? On what basis do you decide or any advices for it , switching from outpatient to snf so thinking a bit
@LovelyyOT
@LovelyyOT 9 ай бұрын
I usually do my evals first in the morning and then I will finish typing it out during lunch ( since patients are not available during that time). However, if am taking lunch, I will finish the entire eval in the am ( my brain is the most alert at this time ) and then treatments as patients are available, some patients do better in the AM versus PM.. I also like to do my morning check-ins when I get there in the morning with everyone on my schedule just to give them a heads-up that I will be seeing them that day. Once you get used to the setting, you can figure out what works best for you.

Yes for home health! I just interviewed for a PRN home health in an area about 45 mins away and they said they could give me a half day/wk 3 patients but I just felt that wasn’t enough for the 1.5 total drive home and there. I want atleast a full day
