IMPORTANT. the loosening and final torqing should be done with the car suspension lifted with Jack, but the wheels still firmly on the ground. NEVER loosen or tighten with the entire weight of the car even on slightly loosened nuts..

More appropriate use your foot to loosen the lug nuts instead of your arms use your weight

A lot mentioned sanding before applying to chip. It’s best to use a razor blade to take the edge off the chip. It saves a lot of sanding. Just make sure you apply enough gel coat. Then you can sand to 600 grit.

If I'm not mistaken the piece of plastic in the kit isn't to smooth the gelcoat, but to lock the air off the Gelcoat so it will completely set and not be tacky on the surface when it's set. The exact same thing the wax works. This is why the manufacturers spray the Gelcoat into the mold first then apply the resin and glass. The Gelcoat then cooks completely and no tacky on the outside. That's my understanding anyway.

I agree with many of the other comments--has nothing to do with it being a Ford, it's all about the tires. We have that same kind of mud here in NC and it clogs up the treads on a standard tire and you may as well have slicks. If you can get the wheels to spin fast enough to sling the mud out you may have a fighting chance. I was actually impressed with the winch on the ATV and the fact that the quad barely moved while pulling the truck backwards.

He did not rough up around the area before you started I wonder if that's something he needed to do on the other hand I also noticed that the material he was picking at still had a bit of flexibility to it I could be wrong but I think if it was completely cured it would have snapped like porcelain not acted like plastic all in all though it seems to have come together for the better

I primarily hit a straight ball. That said, my SkyTrac shows a 20-30 yard pull-hook with my 7 iron on about 20% of my shots. No way. I don't hit two shots that far off per year. Any ideas?
@smokinjaws3310
@smokinjaws3310 9 ай бұрын
I just got one but haven’t started using yet. The research I’ve done says it’s probably an alignment issue, or you have the feet on the bottom with the skytrak on the same level of the hitting surface which throws off ball placement.

My Jack kit comes with a Rod which is threaded on one end screw it into one of the lug holes you can then slide the tire onto the rod this will ensure the holes are lined up and you can screw the lug nuts in remove the rod and put in the last lug nut

Pause4Life: "Changing a tire on Mercedes couldn't be easier!" Also Pause4Life: "NO STUDS ON HUB MAKE IT HARD TO LINE UP" BTW, I think it's best to torque to spec with the tire _barely_ touching the ground and the jack supporting most of the weight.
@PatricksDIY
@PatricksDIY Жыл бұрын
The kit in the trunk has an alignment pin so you can put the tire on without issue, it screws into one of the lug spots.... I feel that everyone who says this either does not have a Mercedes, or does not go through their kit in the trunk.
@h8GW
@h8GW Жыл бұрын
@@PatricksDIY I didn't know that before I read your other comment here, but even without it, it didn't bother me much to -constantly- change the -Continental- tires on my dad's W221. I just worked around it by resting the center of the wheel on the circular lip on the hub and rotating it from there until I felt a lug bolt slot in. I mean, I probably would've known about if if I read the owner's manual, but like I said, it was my dad's car and I'm not interested in German luxury brands.
