Great video! Liked it so much I just bought one of these in Blackburst, and it’s fantastic. What’s interesting is that on mine, the volume and the pickup pan are reversed, so my volume knob is the one directly below the J pickup. I also have a Euro 5 LT PJ5 (Chuck Levin "Chuckslusive”) which is also wired like that, so I thought that’s the way they were supposed to be until I saw this video. Was that reversal a mistake in production (twice), or has that arrangement changed since the video?

I almost bought a spector bass back in the early 90's. I was 'this' close. Instead, given my budget, I went for an Ibanez 800LE . iT WAS A GOOD BASS, BUT i ALWAYS KICKED MYSELF OF RNOT BUYING THAT MAROON sPECTOR...SIGH.

Man.... I miss my Spector. Back around 2006, I signed on with a singer who had toured the world many times. I wanted a Spector so bad, and had a friend who was an endorser. He put me in touch with Mr. PJ Rubal. A few weeks later, I had this beautiful, quilted maple 6 string with gold hardware. The record lable went belly up, the singer decided to retire, then I ended up selling that Spector. Biggest musical regret of all of my years of playing.

In my experience, having the neck pickup further forward toward the neck gives you a thicker, fuller tone, which I generally prefer.
