I just found one of these at a second-hand shop. I really like the simplicity of this first-generation Airfix kit.

How long do they take to make and paint

It’s several hours to put together. I typically work on several projects at once allowing parts to dry while working on another model.

In the video I show you the two products and how to use them. You can just use water, but the decals don't soften as much as with these two setting solutions. Tamiya makes "Mark Fit" and there is also a MR Hobby version called "Mr Mark Softer". Where do you live?

Great video - really like that you show the nasty bits with recalcitrant rigging, bastard decals etc. The end products look great. Interested in your decision to join the stretched sprue rigging side of the Great Schism. I remain a defiant member of the colander school. I like drilling millions of holes into the kit, using thread and super glue and then sanding and filling. I find in this scale I like the effect better, I find it easier to get the tension on the rigging looking right and it is the method my father taught me, so it ticks the nostalgia box. What has caused you to fall into the Monophysite like heresy of stretched sprue? Agree that rigging is hell. I have just completed the rigging on a 1/72 scale Revell Airco DH2. Very character building. I was reminded of a rugby song, 'Frigging in the Rigging'. For all those suffering from rigging induced psychosis (surely worse than shell shock) this may help kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHKVo3lqj6ZofcU.

I bought this yesterday and the body was twisted so bad I had to soak it in hot water for a while . It's better but not perfect . Round 2 needs to start focusing on quality rather than fancy box art. Face it we buy models to build what's in the box . The saving grace was it was on sale @ hobby lobby for$17

Looks very good! But you installed the Canards upside down, they shuld be in a downward angle to the fuselage, not upwards
@MDScaleModels29 күн бұрын
They are on the correct side but can be positioned any way you want them. I know on the plane they hang down when not in use but I liked the look of them the other way.

A really nice construction report. Your model turned out very nicely but I have a small comment that hurts me a bit as a Eurofighter freak. Unfortunately, you attached the canards incorrectly. In the original, they hang downwards and not upwards.
