I quite literally just use regular nail polish on my cleaned natural nails and wait for a couple of minutes for it to dry. And then apply the clear top coat on top of that and cure. It comes out beautifully. And it’s long lasting through showers, swimming, yard work and doing dishes. :)

Tip get a FAST DRY product! Sally Hansen insta dry clear Topcoat dries fast! Essence nail Drying drops, Seche Vite fast dry Topcoat and Elegant Touch nail Drying spray 125m all work l! Polish dries instantly! Beware to clean the brushes, and walk around like a raptor dinosaur 🦕 claws for 4 minutes! Polish dries fast won't move or smudge! Also thin down thick gel/ nail polish, thin layers polish dry faster! I need a shiny non stain, non chip Topcoat that is budget priced? Fed up, nails 💅 all smudged, using nail wraps! UK 27.4.24

I do this a lot but Gelish is expensive. I use a cheapo Ebay gel topcoat. Gelish is $18 over in the UK. Around £15-20 for such a small bottle. Waste of cash. 🇬🇧

Yep this is what I always do when I want to use my regular polish

It's not good to use acetone, that will remove some of your top coat

Excellent suggestion. It’s better than buying a specialist gel mixer (the most popular that works is £20 per bottle called Hydracol). It’s basically the same formula with a hyped price tag. Mixing is easier and much more convenient than waiting for a long time for standard nail polish to dry. I’ve heard people say they’d rather buy the gel polish colour but, sometimes it’s not possible to find the colour you love in a gel polish. Also, it’s a great way to revive your favourite standard polish colour and it’s also great to avoid wasting standard polish colours you can’t be bothered with because they’re not convenient like gels because you have to wait for them to dry.
