May I ask, what type of brush do you use to paint the faces? You are the best Doctor Who customiser I've ever seen, the faces of your figures look so incredibly official, which I feel like is the hardest part. When I try to paint the faces it just looks a mess.

All look great. Sutekh and Maestro especially. Not the biggest fan of how Russell handled Sutekh but that new design was great, and the custom looks great as well. Dare I say maybe even a little better than the show itself. As for Maestro, they look almost official.

5:47 The Assault claw isn't modified as it fits in the revised mold ball joints with 0 issues. Also the end of the Assualt dalek's arm is still in proportion with the revised sculpt plunger cups, so all they needed to do was extend it about 1/4 of the length it currently is, just it to make the same length as the revised sculpt plungers. Also 5:56 the B&M budget clearly *does allow* for new appendages as River Song got a new head which looks very similar to the Series 4 Silence in The Library head, which coulda been modified to fit the Series 5 body.

The sculpted chest circles are a removable piece and the printed ones also are, so there's 0 excuse for CO not using them on this release. Also 15:18 the corroded cybermen actually have a better sculpt as the handles have the grooves molded into them & the eyes are bigger which is more accurate. Also the OG release having a duller silver is more accurate to the props. The silver CO have been using since the B&M classic daleks started just doesn't look right as most props just weren't that shiny or metallic, even New Series props.

I got the retail version from Wal Mart and paid $54.00 U.S. for it . I thought I was getting the Deluxe version. It's nice but the sound is very poor on it and you can barely hear it at all. All thouh I like this sonic I think I paid way to much for it and got riped off. But since I live in the U.S.A. I kind of expected to pay a high price anyway.

Absolutely hilarious that these are costing more than the online exclusives if you want both (including postage, I mean). Glad I ordered the Character Exclusives. I also don't like that the Doctor has his jacket on again. I thought the point of this Space Babies figure would be that he would have the baby blue tank top and bare arms, so that the figure is markedly different. So... way less accessories and blister packaging that cannot be kept as well as the Vortex Edition boxes, and an additional cost of more than a fiver once you include all the postage? F*** that.

I've bought the Vortex edition, mostly because of Ruby. I like her "Christmas Special" costume much better. The colours just work. The Doctor is great in both, so I wouldn't mind either of the variants. But what I love from the Vortex one is that they added the phone for Ruby and most importantly - psychic paper. I am unfortunate in my living location (Poland) so pretty most of my figurines are from the second hand, so they never come with any accesory. The only Doctors with sonic is Capaldi (bought I believe in box) and Davison (bought in Manchester in Affleck's with sonic). My Matt Smith is holding space Lego sonic, which works pretty well from the distance and my Troughton hold the recorder from the vinyl titan series. So I am glad Ncuti will have his sonic to hold and the psychic paper immediatly goes to Eccleston. Waiting for the Wrath Warrior like crazy and I really hope we will get 14th Doctor without his coat. Probably my favourite of all the Doctors costume.

Regarding the head sculpt of Ruby I believe Al Dewar himself wasnt happy as the guy they sent to do the Ruby Scan was treated very rudely and as a result they could not do the two scans as they normally do at Chracter , hence they had to tweak the sculpt

Thanks for the informative review Scott! I'm not so convinced by the colour of the drone; it looks so light. Think the original 4-pack and Toys R Us versions are more accurate, maybe it could have a bit less of a bluey tinge but otherwise it's mainly dark grey.

I wonder if the new white plastic will yellow over time. Was the first version a very bright white when you bought it?

Never expected this to be released again didn't get the figure the last time depends on how B&m distribution is.

I only got a dozen Character Options figures when they first started and the Richard Hurndall one recently, but I'll have to get this. I moved to getting Eaglemoss figurines as they had more diversity of characters/monsters and were smaller so I could collect more. But I always wanted a closed domed Emperor Dalek, which they didn't do. The paint issues on Davros won't matter if i just get it for closed dome display.

This has been cancelled because disabled people cannot be evil! 😂
