Nice riding OP. Of those you capture in your camera, Why do people ride on a track with such crossed up body position? Trying to get their knee down? I guess it's their riding style. Old school

Body position means very little.

Robert.... I am the rider who made the "shitty pass". I had no intention of passing you in that corner, I anticipated your corner speed to be alot faster there. Also, the proper advanced pace/race line through there is much different than the line you took. The rider in front of you takes the corner properly, the apex is right about at the end of the rumble strip there. I understand that the move took you by surprise and you stood the bike up. I am sorry for that, it is not my intention ever to spook or make an unnecessary pass on someone. I had to make a quick decision that would ensure the both of us made it safely through that turn. Again, I am sorry for the close pass and it was my mistake for not anticipating your line through that corner.

Jonathan David White Thank you for the apology. I know unexpected things happen and I myself have done things that required split second decisions. A quick wave or a I'm sorry about that after the session would have been perfectly adequate. I know a lot of times people will say they were "cut off" or "stuffed" when in reality they really were not. In this case I think it is pretty clear what happened. As far as my taking the "wrong line" I actually disagree. There is more than one line through there and a lot depends on the bike you're on. The line you and the rider in front of me took gives up a lot of room for little gain. Obviously you and the guy in front of me are just plain faster than I am but that doesn't mean I'm doing something wrong. Even in A group there are differences in pace. I am by far not the slowest person out there and also by far not the fastest.

What happened Bob? And are you getting a Buell?
@robertloose76317 жыл бұрын
Nothing happened. I was going through the pictures on my phone and found a "Story" button. I put all of the motorcycle pictures in the "story" and posted it here. The crash pics are from my crash in the carousel at RA a few years ago.
@robertloose76317 жыл бұрын
No new Buell or EBR in the works. there were lots of them at Jennings in March 2017 though. That's where this EBR pics are from.
@2WheelsSometimes17 жыл бұрын
Ah, good to hear. Was hoping there might be a EBR down the road.
@robertloose76317 жыл бұрын
An EBR would be sweet but I don't think that'll happen any time soon. I'd track my 1125R before I'd get an EBR. Though I'd love one, it's just about the $$$$

Curious how you do your brass pieces? I've had issues breaking taps in mine.
@robertloose76317 жыл бұрын
Yes, I too have had problems with both the drilling and the tapping of brass. Seeing as I am not a machinist I can only say what works for me, right or wrong. 1) Very slow speed 2) Good tap oil 3) New, sharp, high quality, USA made tap 4) Patience! Many times I tap in a bit, reverse, tap some more, etc HTH

Great video with data. What kind of logger and camera setup are you using? Is it the Garmin as water marked?
@robertloose76317 жыл бұрын
Yes, Garmin VIRB. This particular video was shot with a VIRB XE that I borrowed. I new have a VIRB Ultra 30. The reason I went to the Ultra 30 is the GPS chip updates at 10hz apposed to 1hz of the XE. I'm not positive the lap times are that much more accurate with the 10hz but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Yes, 1000's will do that to 600's in the straights. 600's can usually make up the difference in the corners though. At a big track like my home track of Road America the liter bikes rule. At most tracks though 600's and 1000's will run similar laps.
