Ok it must have taken a long time to write this to get that majestic of a sound, but this is DIR EN GREY we are talking about. So it’s not really surprising why every single song including this one by them. Are just extraordinarily and splendidly written

This song has the wrong name, it's supposed to be Tsumi To Kisei.
@sorryamerica7 жыл бұрын
Tsumi to Kisei is the censored version on the Different Sense single. This is the uncensored digital only version.
@ganondorfchampin7 жыл бұрын
No, Tsumi To Batsu is a completely different song. Kisei is deathcore, Batsu is nu metal.
@jwsmi6 жыл бұрын
Listen to the vocals for the upload of tsumi to kisei and then this one. You'll notice certain parts of the vocals are removed (most notably is the first line, or the line "Patrick Lennon", in reference to the headteacher that encouraged two men to rape a child.) Tsumi to Kisei is the censored version of Tsumi to Batsu (2011)

+Matthew Oksztul how are they a full on metal band? did you listen to arche?
@matthewoksztul38059 жыл бұрын
Loki Laufeyson almost all the songs had metal aspects to it, have you listened to .5 the gray chapter by slipknot? it's not all fast paced music with yelling, that doesnt make slipknot not a full on metal band lol. arche is listed and recognized as a metal album as well.
@Peertje3049 жыл бұрын
Matthew Oksztul just cuz it's labeled as a metal album it doesn't make it metal. about more than half of the album arche has either soft songs, rock songs, or punk songs.
@matthewoksztul38059 жыл бұрын
Loki Laufeyson obviously it doesn't i'm just providing points to support my argument, and no lol, most of that album has drop tuned guitars, double bass drumming, fast paced music, with screaming and growling vocals, which would not fall under punk or rock, but metal. and just because it's a metal band doesn't mean they can't have a few songs that aren't strictly metal, an album isn't made to sound the exact same every song lol, hence why several metal bands end up producing albums like arche because they like to experiment and play around with their creativity, but still maintain live shows that mainly consist of their heavy songs that would be classified under metal, just like diru does.
@matthewoksztul38059 жыл бұрын
Loki Laufeyson just finished re-listening to arche just for you, and i am not even kidding when i say this but i can hear metal aspects in all of the songs, sure in songs like tousei or kukoku no kyounon(and a couple others that i'm too lazy to look up again) its not strong, but i'd still be absolutely okay placing those songs under avante-garde metal since they do have that sound to it, as for the rest, i have no idea what you're talking about but they all have heavy metal aspects to them ranging from prog. metal to even extreme metal, this is very much a well made metal album bud, especially since even if you didnt agree with me placing the slower songs under avant-garde the majority of that album has a very clear metal sound and influence to it, so i think you must have a misconception of what metal is, which is absolutely okay.

wow. cant believe so many people hated this song. every song off of every album has been great. Amber is still my favorite song, with Vulgar being my favorite album, but damn the new direction Dir en grey has gone with Uroboros onward has been amazing. i think marrow of a bone was the only album where they really tried to copy western metal (and i still loved it). everything after has been pushing the envelope like nobody else has ever done. Dir en grey isnt copying anybody. there is nobody for them to copy, they are at the pinnacle of their game. nobody can match them

What's with all the bitching and moaning? One of the biggest reasons why Dir En Grey is so amazing is that they are the only band on earth who over time have gotten progressively heavier and more intense. After the surgery on his throat Kyo's growls have packed an immense punch and allowed him to delve into a more fearsome range of vocal work. Plus it's clear that they've long passed their VK days and I think these remake songs serve as a statement that they are taking the next step musically.
@Twiggyay11 жыл бұрын
I found Dir en grey five years ago when my musical taste was still in its infancy. Vulgar and Gauze was my favourite albums, but as they put out Uroboros i knew what i was missing. So if a band puts out shitty music, and then awesome music (see Job for a cowboy) and then great albums, i can't support them?
@kirkpatricklucas11 жыл бұрын
I like how since Dir En Grey has become more popular, all these newer fans are shooting down their earliest music. You know, the stuff that got them started and out there in the first place. How loyal of you.
@bekahbrat11 жыл бұрын
Of course! Haha Every time they release something, I give it a listen to see if I will enjoy it. I can never let them go. You know, I like their heavy music style lately, but I think it is just Kyo's vocals that push me away. Or... his lack there of. I'm not into the deep growls throughout the songs. I like Kyo's singing voice, and even occasional screaming. I even liked their stuff up through Uroboros. (With some exceptions) I hope this album will reignite my Dir en grey flame.
@I_am_Jordan_K11 жыл бұрын
Well, they're the two newest original songs by them, so I'm assuming that their next full album will be similar. It kind of reminds me of Dum Spiro Spero but without all of the brutalness (out of curiosity, did you already know the songs? I'd be surprised if you didn't)
@bekahbrat11 жыл бұрын
I really do like these two, actually. I will always give them and their music a chance no matter what. My hope that I'll like something is still out there. :) They still got it.

I feel like i'm the only person in the world that loves every style DEG plays. Everything from Missa all the way through The Unraveling is all fantastic. Everybody either seems to think that their older, poppier VK-esque stuff was better and around Withering to Death they "sold out" to american styles, other people say that their older stuff was a lot more influenced by labels to appeal to certain people and their newer stuff is more "creatively" dir en grey. I like it all, that's all I care.
@I_am_Jordan_K11 жыл бұрын
They don't -need- to re-do their older songs, but I think it's REALLY cool that they do. I honestly wish more bands did stuff like this, especially bands that have evolved as much throughout their career as Dir En Grey have. The remake of Obscure is, in my opinion, one of the best songs Dir En Grey have ever made. This, the Zan remake, the Kiri To Mayu remake, as well as a bunch of other remakes are pretty much completely new songs anyways. I don't see why people complain about the remakes
@I_am_Jordan_K11 жыл бұрын

Not just that, but you clearly have no idea what Kyo's voice is capable off. This is nothing. He grunts, screams and sings normally, but usually it was ALWAYS a mix. I miss the mix. This isn't artistic anymore.

''Shitty kawaii anime sugoi shitty japanese rock''. You DO realize that this particular song was about raping a girl, right? I see nothing kawaii sugoi in that. Idc what they do in general, I love everything they do, but they do NOT have to rearrange older songs just because new western fans don't like it.

@KaMui198712 жыл бұрын
you should just listen to the original... and maybe ignore the way kyo sings and pay attention to whatever is playing the background. this way you will notice that there's some very disturbing audio scenery, which in conjunction with the instrumentalisation, has an effect that this version here will never live up to in any way. (listen with headphones!) and in my opinion this is true for most of their albums up until "withering to death"... but you can disagree if you want, it's your opinion.
@KaMui198712 жыл бұрын
sorry.. but this version is probably the worst self-cover I've ever heard.. it equals to flunking a dunk...

whatever you say. I think it sounds stupid, and I hope they don't steer this direction too often :3 but that's merely a difference of opinion. I really just had to intervene at "upbeat happy kawaii," which is just silly.
@Twiggyay12 жыл бұрын
Drop A actually, wouldn't mind Dir en grey getting eight strings tuned drop F for their ambient and atmospheric dark stuff. I think this mood fits and Dir en grey pulls it off.
@AutisticWolf12 жыл бұрын
At the very least, the original song sounded like psychopathic rape theater, and it fit the lyrics. The "mood" here doesn't really make any sense. Furthermore, I think a lot of people would disagree with you about the atmosphere of their music. Saying muffled, indistinct, drop-C power chord chugging is something to latch onto is like trying to pull yourself out of the ocean with a flaccid rope of dental floss. If it makes you feel, that's fine, but I remain unmoved.
@Twiggyay12 жыл бұрын
I wasn't referring to the actual lyrical content, but the mood it creates. the old music doesn't create even the slightest such atmosphere. There's plenty to latch unto here, A, E and a# chugging with a a# power chord with an e instead of f. This makes me feel something, the old music doesn't.
@AutisticWolf12 жыл бұрын
No, that's not what this song is about. It's about raping a 14 year old girl. And this rendition is mud. I don't need technicality, or even a prototypical melody, but there's nothing to latch onto here. If we're gonna talk about white noise, that's about what this amounts to; this sounds like maggots shitting in slow motion. Indeed, Uroboros was a bold step in the right direction; it was critically acclaimed, even :3 I like Withering to death., myself.
@Twiggyay12 жыл бұрын
This song isn't about melody, happiness, technicality or anything trivial like that. It's raw and pure emotion, anger and despair in monotony. I've heard all their albums at least a hundred times, because it's what i used to listen to before. Now only a few songs off Gauze, Kisou and Macabre is anywhere near Enjoyable, the rest i find as pleasurable as white noise. that being said, Uroboros is their pinnacle and a masterpiece.
