Thank you, Rinpoche. Beautiful exposition of the intricacies of 'wealth' and the timeless need to fully contemplate what it truly means to live a life of moderation.

Thank you, Rinpoche. I came to this video fresh from a stiff, sluggish and scattered meditation, so it was very timely. Also, I love the idea of a 'Wisdom Drop' - it sounds like something from tantric practice. And lastly, I wholeheartedly agree that the Blessed One is the ultimate purveyor of far-sighted 'spiritual optometry.'

I am a graduate of several Berkeley Psychic Institutes programs. I spent about $20000 over the years. Since April 2022, unwillingly I got on a mental torturing system while unconscious, I paid extra $1000 to Renaau Brewster as they requested over the phone. This system has been creating weird images n voices in my space except when I'm asleep. It's very dangerous as I involuntary dropping stuff in the kitchen n I was pushed by invisible hands while walking in public. They told me I should vent online on a regular basis, I was told at times the system is a Russian or CIA spy training system that mostly protects only white and married graduates, as the Russian system dislikes unmarried minorities, especially single male Buddhist !! One of the evidence is that the main Berkeley Psychic Institute building sold to a Tibetan community!

Wonderful talk, as always Rinpoche. I would agree that you need to have something to renounce and that the West is extremely ripe for a Dharma explosion due to that very reason. Regarding the pratimoksha vows, I think it all boils down to mindfulness. For example, the rule that a monk or nun should only live on alms could be fulfilled in a modern context by always being mindful of the interdependent nature of everything you eat. I also recall something from the Vishuddimagga that said monastics should stop eating a few spoonfuls before they are full. I think that in itself is a very profound practice.

Thank you, Rinpoche. The question regarding the introduction of calm abiding to non-Buddhists is a very pertinent one and your answer was extremely helpful. I would agree that the Buddhist tradition in which the request for teachings should ultimately come from the seekers themselves is very important. In the meantime, I will follow your advice by practicing patience and hopefully showing how the teachings have changed my behaviour for the better.

Many thanks, Rinpoche. Wonderful teaching, as always. Would it be correct to say that perhaps the greatest tragedy in this world is the addiction to self?

Thank you, Rinpoche. I like what you said about the modern world being woefully inarticulate when it comes to self-addiction. The recent attempt by the Australian government to ban social media for the under-16's is a good example.

Never underestimate the pity of this Rinpoche/Lotsawa/ལོ་ཙཱ་བ 🙏,we are so fortunate.
Thank you for another wonderful teaching, Rinpoche. Yes, I remember when I stayed at Gongkar Choede monastery in 2001 I was quite shocked at how noisy it was. I think I was expecting it to be like a Zen Temple or something. Needless to say, I'm still a pathetic (as opposed to ascetic) practitioner.

Many thanks, Rinpoche. I get the feeling there are traces of tantra here in the mindfulness of body instructions from 1:13:48 onwards, particularly in the recitation aspects (both verbal and mental) and the expression "up from the soles of the feet and down from the top of the hair" which seems reminiscent of a dissolution process.

Thank you Rinpoche - wonderful, as always. Regarding the vinaya, especially not eating after midday, I recently learned that both Deshung Rinpoche's root guru Gaton Ngawang Legpa Rinpoche and I think Jamyang Chokyi Lodro were strict vegetarians and didn't eat after midday. Both their biographies are incredibly inspiring and masterclasses in selflessness.

Thank you Rinpoche. What I like about the Eight-Fold Noble Path being visualised as the Wheel of Dharma is that you've got to go from Right View through to Right Wisdom to finally come round to the ultimate Right View. Unfortunately, I'm still horribly afflicted with wong views.
