Thanks for the video Jose Luis! The result is different when you graft the vectors and the geometry.

@2:58 sounds exactly like how revit families work, would that be a correct example for those of us familiar with revit?

Many thanks for going over this. I had missed the ability to load dll's this way in R8. I was still using a \ "whatever.dll" up at the top. BTW, when you get a dll package like geometry3sharp, how do you know what the namespace is and what the class is and what things are contained therein? I hope you cover that in the next video.

As a Revit user as soon as I understood the concepts in the form of a Revit family it clicked with me. I double-checked with chatGPT and it seemed to clarify my thinking. Revit Families vs. C# Classes Class (C#) = Type (Revit Family) In C#, a class defines the blueprint for creating objects, just like a Type in Revit defines the blueprint for creating instances (objects) of that family. Object (C#) = Instance (Revit Family) An object in C# is an instance of a class, just as an Instance in Revit is a specific occurrence of a family Type. Properties/Fields/Variables (C#) = Parameters (Revit Family) Properties in C# hold data for each object. Similarly, Parameters in a Revit family hold data specific to each instance of that family. Methods (C#) = Embedded Code or Formulas in Parameters (Revit Family) Methods in C# define actions that can be performed on objects, similar to how embedded code or formulas in Revit Parameters define behaviours or calculations that affect the parameters.

Thanks for all the lessons you're making, the best on the topic. I have a small suggestion, to avoid the user inputs a 0 value for the steps and cause an error, to add another check: if (steps < 1) return;

This is game changing for me. Previously I had to kind of hack my way to load .dlls from relative paths, instead of direct reference as it was before. This was a nightmare, but glad to see how it is 10x better on Rhino 8. Thanks miguel!

That was a nice mini tutorial on Beegraphy. Thanks for sharing! I have checked the editor and found that unfortunately a LOT of stuff is missing. The solution to overcome this would be to create own plugins - which unfortunately is not very well explained on the corresponding page. Even their explainer video does not really help - since it stops right where it gets into the details. Can you maybe create a mini series on how to create plugins? Maybe 4 different "levels" from just adding two values (as an example) to working with lists and trees over to creating geometry up to creating custom UI elements? That would be awesome.

Thanks Jose Luis, I have actually been following your tutorials in Rhino 8 since day one with no problems at all. One question though. Whats the best way to re-use c# script components between grasshopper files? I know I can copy and paste. Is there any better way?

One problem I have with the new editor is that the autocomplete shows up right over where I am typing, hiding what I'm working on. Yours did not. Is there some setting that you know of that could help me? Thanks. In general I like the new editor and have used it with a library I build in VS.

Great explanation! It was very informative, especially the step-by-step demonstration of creating grids, rectangles, and modulating wave strength and amplitude. Exporting the model for further manipulation or 3D printing and connecting it to the BeeGraphy market caught my attention a few months ago. Looking forward to more hands-on examples in future videos! Thank you so much.👏🏻👏🏻🏆

Some tips to the users: 1. Try to always hide the previous geometries that are not required in the viewport. Especially when Apply Material is being used. For example, in this video the spheres are being rendered twice. Once without the applied material, and the second time with the applied material. That consumes the RAM of your device in vain and affects the performance for the user. 2. There are three ways of adding points in the curve editor: a) double clicking in the curve display area -> that will create a control point in the end of the list, b) click on any control point and you will see an option to add a control point before or after the selected point, c) hover in the table below in between two points and you will see a '+' sign, click on it. 3. In the bottom left corner there is a gear icon for settings. When you click there you see several options, one of which enables/disables Live Calculation. Live Calculation is good for lighter models, but is bad for heavier models. I prefer to keep it off for heavier models as it avoids doing excessive number of computations, improving the user experience because I see the end result faster.

Hi, Did you feel a little bit laggy when it was dealing with massive data? It ate up my RAM and crashed a few times when I was using attractors and image samplers. Maybe 16GB was not enough.
