2:06 haha, there are plenty of alternate realities where Worf is in a command position or part of security but there is definitely not a single reality in which he is assigned to the science department. Worf does not do science

this was a stupid scene, she reactivates a whole borg cube under her control, then they immediatly get blasted out to space..
@shawnwilt71968 күн бұрын
This scene alone is responsible for more nerdgasms than ant in history. I honestly believe that. The only way it would have Ben better is if we had gotten to see Seven actually take control of the Cube and use it on a battle situation. If that had happened ..... Kleenex would be the most valuable company in the world right now

You can tell the writers never watched the shows or the movies, otherwise theyd have known the vacuum really isnt a problem for these guys. I mean theres a pretty integral scene in first contact where picard, warf, and a red shirt go out on to the hull to stop borg drones from dicking with the deflector, where warf uses one of their arms as a tourniquet and blows up the dish with the borg riding it away from the ship. Anyway yeah this should have been an amazing scene that could have challenged 7's character a little but yeah no just open the door and poof problem solved.... assholes

Why did Worf leapfrog Data in rank? Worf got promoted 3 times vs. just 1 for Data, over 7 years, in the other reality.

What if the super-dominant Borg from that reality spills into all other realities since that Enterprise was destroyed, creating a rupture portal? Then everyone is fucked.
@YD-uq5fi25 күн бұрын
This should have been a two-part episode, going deeper into more timelines, including visiting the other one from "Yesterday's Enterprise", and eventually getting so far from our familiar reality that it is a different show. Instead, they make 'Gambit' a two-parter just to accommodate that stupid basketball player who added no value to the plot. Trek Nerds are so needy that they are desperate for anyone 'cool' to appear in Star Trek, and that cost us the chance for this episode to be a two-parter.

This scene made absolutely no sense. Not only can Borg function in space, they can also magnetize to the hull. It should have been a simple matter to beam all the drones back aboard and continue fighting the Romulans. This was the definition of bad writing by people who didn't know canon...😅

Ohhh... I just LOVE 7 of 9... This scene more than any before or since, proved one thing. That 7 of 9 was destined to be the new borg queen. And only for the few short seconds in this video was she actually the borg queen that could have been. The writers really fucked up when they teased us with this and then didn't follow through. 7 of 9 as the new borg queen would have been a terrible and a formidable opponent of starfleet because of her insider knowledge of exactly how starfleet worked and thought. This is because of her years of experience onboard the USS Voyager where she was freed and liberated from the borg collective. In this scene she interfaced and merged with the queen's technology and she interfaced with the thousands of remaining borg crew members onboard the captured borg cube held by romulans. The cube that they referred to and called "The Artifact." In her brief encounter with the remaining crew members. 7 of 9 rejoined and created a whole new collective that could easily outgunned, out maneuvered and completely outpaced the romulans that held them captive. The only reason that the surviving borg cube crew members did NOT do so before, is because they had all been simultaneously been severed from the mind of the borg collective. The writers really took a deep-dive into the shithole and really took a concentrated and constipated dump on this one. The things that could have been, and the things that could have carried this series into a new realm of possibilities, all lost and flushed with the shitty ending that completely negated this part of the series when Seven interfaced and became the new borg queen... I was so pissed off and sickened by that overdressed and super, sickening sweet ending to the picard series...

The last season was an effort to clean up the mess that was made in the first two seasons. I think Terry did a decent job with what he had to work with. They should have hired him in the first place. Then maybe there might have been a few more seasons.

The most dangerous and horrifying species in Star Trek, reawaken after years of dormancy. A main character potentially giving up their humanity despite that being everything she worked against. Aaaaaand they got sucked out of the ship literally seconds later. Aaaaaand then she immediately crashes the cube into a planet in a completely avoidable way just to complete the uselessness and suck any interest or relevance out of the arc.

Season 1 of picard was me being excited about the borg coming back and having a standoff against the federation but it was all about lazy script writing and losing a brilliant opportunity because they decided to focus on Synths and Picard. What a disappointment.

The last words of the worst enemy Star Trek ever faced "OMG! Close the fucking window! You're killing us all!" The Borg have nanites that allow them to survive in space. Not one of them had sense enough to grab on to something? 7-of-9 took over a ship full of mentally retarded borg drones. 😂

They had the chance to go so hard with this scene. 7 risking the individuality that she never wanted... the Romulans suddenly having to survive... but no, airlock them and hope the star trek fans don't point out that 7 could have simultaneously transported all those drones back in to safety.
