Thanks for posting. Now I have to figure out how to get a right-of-way-permit for the purpose of expanding the driveway apron.

Contact Acme Safety & supply. When I got mine they had a service for helping with permitting and since they did it so much they saved me a ton of time.

How did you prep the floor?

A few days of self leveling and grinding. There were asbestos tiles but they were left in place.

It took several months to get the required stuff together: engineering plan ($800), permit consultant to stand in line and work with city ($800), approval to move street trees, surveyor stamp & monument preservation ($305), ROW permit ($1,838), Acme Safety & supply to procure traffic control permit ($400), traffic control permit ($80), concrete contractor ($6,700). Total out of pocket cost for me: $11,000. Total time from start to final inspection: 5.5 months.

oh and did you have the issue of the top rings not fully inserting after you connect the full circle?
@WillLeingang
@WillLeingang 4 жыл бұрын
I had to push the mat way down towards the ground to get them to pop in fully. Almost like a bounce action. My wife and I were exhausted by the end.

haha at least you had the idea of tiedowns to pull them together.. i persevered testing the strength of my finger until i gave up and watched the video another 20 times to work out the specific order in which to hook the mat on! thanks for the vid :)

What happens if you keep trying to drill after the screw goes flush? I don't understand how it stops the bit from turning and stripping out the head of screw
@WillLeingang
@WillLeingang 2 жыл бұрын
The bit is spring loaded. It only screws until it disengages with the head of the screw.

Looks like Miramar is a major airport DJI "No Fly" zone. Why would you even risk your Phantom there?

Definitely a naive move on my part. I had several flights without incident so I didn't anything of it. I also didn't have the latest firmware which would have kept it on the ground.
