Thanks for posting. Now I have to figure out how to get a right-of-way-permit for the purpose of expanding the driveway apron.

Contact Acme Safety & supply. When I got mine they had a service for helping with permitting and since they did it so much they saved me a ton of time.

How did you prep the floor?
@WillLeingang3 жыл бұрын
A few days of self leveling and grinding. There were asbestos tiles but they were left in place.

Please share more details on how much did he ROW, Traffic control and monument preservation certificate cost as well as the job?
@WillLeingang3 жыл бұрын
It took several months to get the required stuff together: engineering plan ($800), permit consultant to stand in line and work with city ($800), approval to move street trees, surveyor stamp & monument preservation ($305), ROW permit ($1,838), Acme Safety & supply to procure traffic control permit ($400), traffic control permit ($80), concrete contractor ($6,700). Total out of pocket cost for me: $11,000. Total time from start to final inspection: 5.5 months.

Thank you for the video and info I live in Oceanside, CA. Can you please provide the name of the company you dealt with?
How much did the ROW permit end up costing you? How long did the process take for permitting>? Mind sharing how much the total job cost you? Im looking to go from 18 feet to 24 feet so it wouldnt be as big of a job

oh and did you have the issue of the top rings not fully inserting after you connect the full circle?
@WillLeingang4 жыл бұрын
I had to push the mat way down towards the ground to get them to pop in fully. Almost like a bounce action. My wife and I were exhausted by the end.
@K9Ren4 жыл бұрын
haha at least you had the idea of tiedowns to pull them together.. i persevered testing the strength of my finger until i gave up and watched the video another 20 times to work out the specific order in which to hook the mat on! thanks for the vid :)

What happens if you keep trying to drill after the screw goes flush? I don't understand how it stops the bit from turning and stripping out the head of screw
@WillLeingang2 жыл бұрын
The bit is spring loaded. It only screws until it disengages with the head of the screw.

What are the other parts for?
@WillLeingang6 жыл бұрын
The other parts allow you to drive 1/4" socket screws vs phillips screws.

Looks like Miramar is a major airport DJI "No Fly" zone. Why would you even risk your Phantom there?
@WillLeingang10 жыл бұрын
Definitely a naive move on my part. I had several flights without incident so I didn't anything of it. I also didn't have the latest firmware which would have kept it on the ground.

Exciting flight - you just go up there and hover for the first 40 seconds :)
