most of the time I think he sounds like Hank JR. He sounds nothing like Waylon

What happened
@campsiteministries7 ай бұрын
@erinoates3309 Unfortunately Billy passed away from a fentynal overdose. He was on life support for a few days but there was no brain activity. His family had to make the heartbreaking decision last night to take him off of the life support. It's so sad. Billy was such a talented young man. I only knew him for a short time, but it was so obvious that he loved life. It was taken away from him way too soon.

As a big waylon fan, sturgill does sound like him. This recording might not be the best, and his style might be a bit different, but some of his songs do sound like waylon in my opinion.

Last time I checked Waylon wasn't a flat picker playing bluegrass-y tunes (like high top mountain). His voice, his style, nothing Waylon. I'm sorry.

Your story is like so many of us also. Thanks for allowing yourself to become vulnerable in telling your story. I have recommended your music to a lot of people. They love you. Don’t ever think that you’re not making a difference. You ARE! Let God do what God does! I pastored and preached all over and have felt the sting of organized religion.

I am told Charlie Starr used to play with the old group the ?? Four horse men is that true any body know???
@lindathalman350610 ай бұрын
nope. don't think so. BBS started in 2001. Charlie, Brit and Richard played for another band and Charlie was not the frontman; they left that group and quickly added Paul Jackson for a 4-some as Blackberry Smoke. Brandon joined about 2010.... don't quote me on the exact date. 4 horse men.... for me that rings no bells... other comments?
