Looking forward to trying this, but just added a bluetooth dongle on my 03 and just taking the passeneger side vent off and it crumbled to shambles. Worried about some of the door pieces. The replacement for the vent was $200....

Purchased the same exact set up to this - including the LEDs , and I’m having a ton of issues getting the lights to cycle correctly. Did a custom harness do the trick for you?

Up until the snow drifts, do you think this trail is doable in a stock Renegade? Going to take a road trip through Breckenridge and want to do a little exploring on my way through! Have a good bit of trail experience in my old 91’ Wrangler, but don’t really want to take it 1,000+ miles on the highway with the 4-banger and 35’s! 😂

have you done the rear subwoofer as well

I did not, I ended up putting a drawer system in the back that would have negated any subwoofer upgrade

You could use a nutsert for the top but these headlights look too flimsy to last anything resembling corrugated roads we have here in australia. This is shopping mall lights as nothing beats toyota glass units.
@OverlandTrax Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! totally agree, I ended up going back to OEM glass units later
@hzj7920 Жыл бұрын
@@OverlandTrax You can't beat Toyota OEM I tried many times over the years and finally gave up on such improvements. Its tempting but it is damn hard to beat perfect. Some aftermarket gear is truly excellent but 95% is garbage.

Your rig looks great, thanks for sharing. the moulding delete looks 4:27 great but does seem like a lot of work. I am also considering the headlight swap as I too have similar aftermarket headlamps now current but not entirely happy with the performance. I did have a question if, are those factory corner lamps? And if so, so you smoke/tint them?
@OverlandTrax Жыл бұрын
They are factory and had them tinted, thanks for watching!

Just did this drive a week ago and the floods they had recently really messed up the trail. It was much worse than what you saw in this video. From Potash all the way up Shafer the trail was rutted and parts of it washed out. No sedan or 4x2 vehicle could make it up that trail now. I climbed it in a 2019 Honda Pilot AWD with Falcon Wildpeak Trail AT tires. I bottomed out a couple of times and several times on Potash I was convinced the car wouldn't make it but somehow managed to push through. It's an epic trail with awesome views but I wouldn't recommend doing it in a sedan, 4x2, or even an AWD with All Season tires. You get stuck out there and it's minimum $1000 for a tow.
