My 4 months old started sucking his thumb.one night he decided to spit paci out and start sucking his thumb 😢 I cried 15 min in the morning 😭 i tried for the past 2 weeks but he doesn’t want his paci anymore. I hate it hateeeeeeeee thumb sucking 😩😩😩😩

Am ten and a half am currently trying to stop sucking my thumb here’s some tips : 1 - put something that tastes bad on your thumb or any finger that you suck 2- put a clipart bandage on your finger or thump it will prevent you from sucking I seriously hope these tips helped you like the way it helped me

I watched this clip for nothing. It was useless and gave no information about how to make it stop. I have a four month old who’s been sucking his thumb for a month and a half. I watch this video trying to find ways to stop him because it does mess with teeth development. I know they start teething around four months, but we’re trying to find a solution so he doesn’t suck his thumb. This video is no help and a waste of my time

I never used to suck my thumb when I was a baby...one time in primary school I was 5 I saw someone sucking there finger so I tried then after that day I got addicted...I am 14 years old and I still suck my thumb my mom said I need to stop BC she said I will need braces and I don't want to so...and ima trying so so so hard BC I will put my thumb in my mouth without knowing BC I do it so much and I would realize that and take it out immediately😂😂😂 please someone help i dont want braces...

Where are the tips

We used a paci for the first 3-4 months of our baby's life (not in the beginning weeks but we had to introduce it to help during traveling pains and the like). Our child now only sucks when he's already happy, mouthing and playing basically or when he's happy getting dressed or after a feed. He does not thumb suck when upset or to drift off to sleep... We would like to encourage or show the baby that it's ok to thumb suck so he can link sleep cycles better! How do we do this without a cry it out sleep training method? Pick up and put down hasn't worked yet (haven't started fully, have a big move ahead next week). Our son is 5 months old and I'm also certain that they won't go over the 4 year mark

OK,This is really embarrassing but I have social anxiety& Anxiety and I'm 9 years old alright..I've asked my sister to tell me to stop when I do it,But I'm also really stressed because of it It's probably from my anxiety so and I normal suck my thumb for about 10-20 minutes an hour or 2 a day.But this really helped,And this is a tip I use; WEAR NAIL POLISH,NO BODY LIKES WEIRD TASTE LIKE NAIL POLISH

My almost 7 year old sucks his thumb A LOT! Whenever he has down time. Sometimes as he's walking around the house. Even when we are in Church. I don't think that he really does it at school, but then he bites his nails instead. I'm not so concerned about him needed braces, I've resigned myself to the fact that he will need them. I'm worried that he has anxiety, and is doing it to cope! I wish that he didn't feel the need/impulse to do it! Idk, maybe I'm projecting, 'cause I sucked my thumb until I was 10 years old due to stress. But, I only ever did it at home.

Hey I'm 17 now and having a habbit of sucking fingers and this becoming addiction I do it when I feel bore , stressed or exhausted and I tried everything like using bandages or eliminating fingers one by one but this doesn't work on me Nowdays I'm embarrassed cause of this in front of relatives handing such pressure is hard from childhood hence be fine and take care of yourself 🥰
