I remember the demo for this game, it's re-release on the PS store and playstation stars challenge reminded me of it. Also funny enough, Male Mosquitos in real life don't suck blood, it's the females.

Pretty good review, but there are a few innaccuracies/ 1. Depending on your knowledge and playstyle, you do not have to spend weeks grinding. There are videos of players starting a new file and beating baal in one sitting. It can be done in under ten hours in the switch/PC version. And that has more to do with the fact that you can get to a second playthrough immediately than anything else. 2. Food items can be obtained from a building. Farmhouse, or something. Chefs can wish for it. When summoned to the field, if the first slot of the building is empty, a food item will spawn, from a carrot up to a meat stew. So long as you win with the building still standing, you will take the item home. 3. UFO weapon skill level increases your odds of a successful steal. Yes, anyone can use the skills, but the best thief will want the skill levels. 4. The AI movement is totally trash, but that's partly a skill issue. We are allowed to control a character's movement in minute detail and can go around most obstacles. We can even use other units as stairs. I like the complete freedom we have with unit deployment and movement, but that freedom does come with a couple of really wonky looking movements when we let the AI take over. Having said that, its super annoying when you summon a character and it literally 'slips' off of a slope into 'OB'. All in all, you're incredibly knowledgeable about the game. Very comprehensive breakdown. I enjoyed it.

Advance Wars biggest problem is, how much better Advance Wars 2 is 😄

You can tech (shown as 'avoid' on screen) by pressing up+attack button, so many things you've shown aren't real combos. The Ai doesn't tech unless played with hard mode cheat on. The only infinite AI abuses is Justice's super on dizzy. The AI doesn't have more health than player. Some characters have much more health others. Justice and Potemkin have double the health of Cliff, Millia and Chipp for example. The AI cheats by canceling a dizzy. They also always avoid IK in the later stages and on hard mode.

I tested out with Guilty Gear X2 Reload on PC, that Dizzy's Gamma Ray deals more damage if the opponent blocks the two smaller lasers and then just rush into action, only to be hit by the Gamma Ray. But doing that in a actual fight is simply impossible, because the AI surely will block everything. 😅

Pro Tip: Always exhaust your ranged units first, and come in with your cqc units to mop up. 😊

My first game in the Mystery Dungeon series was the Pokémon one for GBA. I played it during my childhood, but I only beat it now. Chocobo's Dungeon is my second. I’m loving it: it’s more challenging than Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, but in a fair way. I’ll play a Torneko and a Shiren the Wanderer game too, so I can experience the four main IPs related to Mystery Dungeon. Great video!

This was one of the very first PlayStation games I ever played. A neighbor had a folder of burnt games playable on the PSX he sold at a garage sale and this was the one that stuck with me. I remember battling my babysitter’s friends and winning every round since it was one of the few games in the bundle I could play at that age. This soundtrack has stuck with me since its release and still play through it a couple times a year despite never being able to acquire an official copy.
