I came back here because I knew something about Ludwig had changed since I started watching (don’t remember when, well before the subathon tho), and couldn’t quite remember what. Watching these clips made me sad for a time when, even though I wasn’t fully happy, I was happier, and remember Lud being a surprisingly large reason why - the inclusiveness and community which formed around his content made you feel like you had a friend, or failing that just a great funny likeable guy who talked to you, and I don’t have that so much anymore. Then again, I still watch and enjoy his content, though I get more joy from the yard than I do his other recent stuff (it’s not the same feeling as old Ludwig but a new kind of joy for me). And it makes me happy remembering the good times I had and the jokes and stories and moments he lived and told those years ago. Still love you Lud, but I do, cheesily and ironically, miss the old Ludwig.
