You did the right thing Dooner. I deliver to home depot stores daily, I have a standing 8am appointment and the concrete guys know this. Last week I had one go around me while I was unstrapping and I was going to just let it go but I knew that if I didn't say anything he would think that I was a punk and do it again. I walked up to him and he didn't even want to roll down his window..lol he finally did and I asked him why he went around me. His answer, in broken english, was "you was unstrapping too slow". I was about to go off when the traffic manager came out and made him move. Thankfully I didn't have to go nuts and everything worked out.

Back in 2007 i was detained for three days at that border crossing because the Canadian side said that I had an open warrant for my arrest. After three days and several calls to my attorney the border patrol realized that they had made a mistake. I never went to Canada again.

I take care of everything outside of my truck, unless it's pouring down rain. I keep a portable toilet with me, a 3 gallon jug of water with a spout and a large bowl to brush my teeth and wash my face. During the summer I take a shower every day because I'm a faltbedder, that's the only time I use the facilities at the truck stop. They're just nasty.

I look at it the same way. I'll respect everyone until they give me a reason not to. No one is special, regardless of how highly they think of themselves. We were all born naked and broke and we'll all die and return to ground from which we were made.

Well brother, we've all been down and out at some point in our lives. All we can do is keep pushing forward, try to be optimistic and make the best of the situation that were given. I have 18 years under my belt driving 2 million miles or so and I finally retired as a hazmat driver. We've spent some time on the road together. One thing you have going more than I have is a good family and a great KZbin channel! I'm still trying to build mine 🤔 Take it easy out there be careful and stay safe! 🤠👍

I don't mind truckers complaining, they usually have legit reasons, but every time things go really bad in life or work, I remind myself of my marine buddy James from KY. He had just gotten back from deployment, was supposed to have at least 35k in the bank and had minus 500 (his wife did it with her bf). His wife who had two kids with him had dumped him for another guy while he was gone and he had just found out. Poor James was back in the bricks living like a single guy, kicked out of his own home. On top of that the day I saw him and told me all this, he had just gotten a speeding ticket earlier and then he got locked out of his own car in the parking lot. He had to break his window. I still recall him laughing and joking at his own misery and laughing when he had no gas money and was counting the miles as his car was crawling back to LeJeune and he didn't even want to accept money from me. I admired him for his positive attitude. Nothing would bring him down even though he hurt. I think you're also a positive and humorous guy and when you complain is because you want to condemn certain mentalities or practices out there on the road or the industry and this is part of critical thinking, not negativity. This life is full of problems, we are all boiling in the same cauldron as we say back home. We will rest in heaven I guess not here haha. Stay strong!

Same thing with women and clothes shopping; I'll be mobbing through hangers down the aisle and the whole store will be empty, but some Coke-bottle-lens-wearing chicken lady will jump right into my liine of fire and start obsessing over some baby deer decal onesie and bust up my groove!

I was having some issues with my old Cascadia and was happy feeling sorry for myself until my neighbor stopped by and mentioned to me he had stage 4 stomach cancer plus his wife fell and broke her ankle and some ribs all while taking care of their 32 year old special needs daughter. Trust me when I say I felt like a sorry piece of shit after hearing his tale and he wasn’t even complaining just conversing. There is always some poor shagger having it worse. I feel your pain Dooner but remember it will pass and if you can survive in this market you will make hay when the rates go up. Your good at what you do and built up solid relationships so that you can use that Golden Nugget to earn money. Keep on Trucking Dooner and don’t let the negative Troglodytes get you down.
