Dallara created a road car Colin Chapman would be proud of. Its not a car for every day says the owner. The car I own is under 800kg, its a 4 door hatchback, and has 0.66cc, I really love to drive it everyday and is a economical and practical car. I understand the appeal of this type of car and if I could afford to own more than 3 or 4 vehicles I would defiantly consider the Dallara. its a beautiful expression of Dallara racing. 3:00 I legitimately started crying. This is SO rare in both engineering and design - and it's almost never done because car companies don't give a damn about truly synthesizing their talent correctly. And of course it's the Italians that pulled it off.

But for 350-400K, ????? It doesn't LOOK like 350-400K. Oh, well....everybody will die SOME time. Testosterone's gonna GO, guys. Go tarpon fishing from a kayak! Build a house with YOUR hands. Practice BJJ. But a little "plastic car" for 350-400K? You can do better than that.

The only thing this car is lacking is a great engine. Imagine this lightweight chassis with a Koenigsegg TFG or the 4L Cosworth V12 from the GMA T.33 or T.50. That would give it way more drama (noise) and 600-650hp. Completely turn this into an absolute beast.

GGGGRAZIE per questo bellissimo filmato. FACCIO IL TIFO PER VOI, ma il vostro mondo non è alla mia portata. Nel video, non manca niente, anzi ci sono anche molte notizie interessantissime sul mondo Dallara. Mi piacciono molto le riprese in mezzo al bosco con le foglie secche a terra. Mi ricordo il video fatto con Davide Cironi, altra impostazione, dava più adrenalina. Un video solo diverso, non migliore. Mi manca invece la bella donna giovane, coi capelli neri, dai lineamenti del viso naturali, che si vedeva nella intervista di Davide all’ingegner Dallara. Sono del 57, sentire il nome Dallara e vedere l’ingegnere mi fa ripensare ai miei entusiasmi per il mondo dei motori soprattutto degli anni 70. Il mondo della produzione e delle gare soprattutto italiani. L’Alfetta berlina scudo stretto del 72… , e tante altre auto e uomini, oggi purtroppo scomparsi.

I don't get the color. Does anyone look at that color and says "wow I want one"? It's awful. Lot's of super cars lately, they all look alike, perhaps they are using that color to differentiate but ... I think the only super cars that stand out design wise are Pagani's. All other just kind of blend in.

Not sure what motor it has other than 4L. Personally I'd put something light like a 3-5cyc with pneumatic valves or a multi-rotor Wankel, for peek power to weight. Love the design and look of the Dallara Stradale though. Trick suspension would be nice too (Hydraulic anti-sway systems, pull-rod and/or push-rod suspension).

4:57 it has a 4 cylinder engine. Same 2.3l turbo inline-4 is used in Ford Focus RS, but in Stradale it makes 400hp, instead of 350hp.

Crazy you say that. I just made another comment before I read yours saying this car would be great with the Koenigsegg TFG. That's the 3-cylinder engine with Freevalve (camless). Also produces 600hp, which is nice, but not necessary for this lightweight chassis.
