Great review thank you very much I'm very well explained if you're still around if you're still around it'll be interesting for me to know if you recommend this Machine for semiprofessional use. I've just started sewing and want to buy a machine that will last for the next five or six years until I am enough money to upgrade. I wish to specialise in men's shirts as well as skirts and women's dresses.

It would be helpful to show us what you doing. Naming the pieces and showing them from higher up. Just looks like your stiching a piece of fabric. You can’t get an idea of which pieces are stitched to what and how you are sewing each piece. You just show the machine running basically which doesn’t help anyone who wishes to make this.

I am 53, only really discovered that I am Dyslexic over the last few years, the Red lines that constantly appear when I am typing or texting should have told me:) I left school at 15, had not one exam result, I took myself to night school to learn Excel etc. I am now married, 2 kids, own my own business have 13 staff members, and bought a Tesla straight out and not with Finance, not because I could not fill out the finance forms :). I am not bragging, I find my words disappear, I freeze when paperwork is placed in front of me when I do things like spell Thye instead of They, I get frustrated and I spell verbally or type and write it as Thye every time (just a small example). To now discover I am not crazy, is a huge relief, I thought it could be stress, but looking back over the past 50 years, I found it hard to learn how to tell the time, read, and the list goes on. My brother did a master's and my sister is a Deputy head, so I suppose they don't have it, they both play the piano etc, I was the odd one out, the one to be shouted at, such a relief to really understand why! Thank you for posting!

Nice review. I'm trying to decide between the following models: Brother FS60X (299 €), Janome 360 DC (476 €) and Brother A150 (551 €). The yellowing you mention kinda bothers me. The A150 has all the bells and whistles but someone on Reddit told me Janome was a notch up quality wise. Since you have experience with both Brother and Janome, perhaps you can help me decide. PS: I can afford the A150, but I probably won't use many of its features, though it's nice to have a bit of "creative headroom" to explore.

Thanks 😁 I do think the reason reason sewing machine discoloured was due the me moving quite often and not keeping the cover on, when the machine wasn't in use. As long as you look after it I am sure it be fine. Also Personally I would go for the janome and save yourself some money. While additional features are nice I can guarantee you probably won't use half of them.

I've seen an industrial machine with a desk included - for less than £400 👌. I know of someone who uses it and it's great x

Industrial machines are better if u can get your hands on one and have the space I say go for it. There are heavy and require a bit of maintenance though 🙂
@Sooz31123 жыл бұрын
Very helpful, thank you. I'm 'trying' to gauge whether to buy the 725s or this model. Decisions decisions 😂. I usually steer clear of LCD displays but Janome seem to make quality machines x

Imm I'm wandering 🤔 if Dyslexia effects social interactions with others. I go to a gym and I only talk to the stuff working there cause I have to , but when it comes to talking to others I ignore every one cause I don't have any need of them, except to be social yet to be social is Alian to me. If you don't work at the front desk or a personal trainer then what reason do I have to talk to you?? Probably why nothing comes to mind so I don't talk to anyone unless you serve a purpose

The dress is actually three pieces. 1) blouse 2) pinafore 3) one piece undergarment consisting of a petticoat with attached v-neck undershirt made of the petticoat fabric.
@LaurenCox_3 жыл бұрын
Thats really interesting to know. The documentary video I saw when they were talking about the original didn't mention a petticoat but given the period it is set in I wouldn't be surprised if there was one.

I'm curious to know what size the gingham pattern is; like, 1/2" or 1/4" or...? I'm terrible at figuring out measurements from just looking at pics of the original dress.
@LaurenCox_3 жыл бұрын
Gingham is not typically sold by the size of the pattern but by yards or metres. To give you an idea of what you will want to look for is a small gingham print. I done a measurement it is about 10 blue squares every 5cm. Hope this helps :)
