Do I need to do a 4 inch on top of the 1 inch?? I am a renter whose landlord is coming by Monday to check everything including filters and make sure we are taking care of the house so I got up there and changed out 1 inch but there is also a brand new inch sitting up there. I don’t know where to you put it though

I have an older horizontal unit. Unfortunately for me it's in the basement under a crawl space. My panel is not a door that swings open. I have to remove 4 screws and remove the panel. Then inside just to the left of the open area I used to slide the filter in and then would have to slightly bend the filter to fit it in place only to have it pop out of place after the unit is running, me not knowing until I have to replace again. Today I just found out after removing the panel there are 2 screws on the outside of the unit in the area that the filter sits that I removed and then a skinny panel open allowing for an easier placement of the filter without bending and ruining the filter. This is a game changer. Oh you mentioned a gap at the top. I have a big one. I've been using a thin enough piece of foam and jam it in that area where no air or dust fits thru. You have it easy. Yours is in an attic, and the panel opens like a door and it slides right in. Great video. It's great to see what others do.

Just sayin if you have an o ring pop out like that take a little vac oil and a clean pick or screw driver they pop right back in and the oil keeps it from rolling up in the fitting

It's really weird, I have the same thing on my ac unit but no filter. Instead I have three separate one inch filters. One outside of the home and two inside the home. Which would be better for efficiency? One One inch filter at the furnace or three separate filters? I'm actually curious to know.

I have a 2015 horizontal air handling unit like this in same location. Goodman CHPF model. I cannot for the life of me find the filter hatch. I have looked at every square inch of this thing. There is no quick access hatches anywhere. I have filters all over my ceiling however in the return vents. Are these doing the same purpose and there isn't a filter to change up in the roof unit? Thanks.

I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

This is great!!! New house and no manual has anything on how to change the filter. I only found vertical units and this is EXACTLY what I needed. See they put a cheap 1.75 filter in there and need to get that filth out of there fast!! Super appreciatie the MERV rating tip as well! I like that UV air filter unit....

Alot.of.people.dont.even know the hvac units in attic use filters . Most.people are just use to one's you.see in ceiling metal vent cover that you change every 3 months

We’re currently rearranging our 2500 Express HVAC van and trying to remove the Adrian Steel shelves and implement the Packout but it’s definitely not better space saving because the Milwaukee boxes with drawers are wider than the 14” shelves.
