How gorgeous this flute solo is, even without the orchestral context. And how beautifully Ms Baxtresser plays it, as she says by observing Brahms’ dynamics precisely and not overindulging the vibrato. (Note: Brahms’ birth year was 1833, not 1822 as indicated.) Thank you!

This piece can be very problematic intonation wise. But of course Ms. Baxtresser naoled EVERYTHING!! What a brilliant and knowledgeable artist she is. She and the pianist make a wonderful Duo. They so beautifully and delicately bring out the conversations between both instruments. ❤❤🎉🎉

I absolutely love this trio... It is so joyful and lively. Kind of reminds me of the Poulenc Sextet. So glad to have run across this.

The cadenza was absolutely beautiful. This was one of my very first solo parts with the university orchestra my freshman year. I was so nervous during the performance that I didn't manage my breath control very well, but it worked out. The double tonguing section I was able to play quite well.
