2010, it was over. The PS3 was better. The Kinect was a trojan horse. Halo,k Gears, and Forza is a Phil Spencer creation (he has no skills to make any other big, quality games}

It's time for SEGA to return to the console wars with Sony and Microsoft (and a lesser extent Nintendo) on their OG first party software alone counting physical media and digital games alone would blow Xbox Series X out of the water within one year.

Hi-Fi Rush is garbage, nothing of import was lost in the closure of these studios - however I do think the fact they didn't retain the staff for other divisions is beyond stupid, Even in the current declining AAA gaming market - but the closures very much just reflect the current state of gaming. Gaming just was better during 360/ps3 era and we've hit a slump of dogshit games burdened with crippling feature creep. Every game has to have a sprint bar, cooking, nourishment/survival mechanics, rock climbing, gliding, vast open worlds that aren't empty etc etc etc, everyone trying to hit too many genres in hopes widening the perceived genre nets increased sales - turns out businessmen have no idea what gamers want

Just to put these studio closures in perspective: Arkane Austin: It's not the same team that made Prey. 75% of those staff members left the studio during development of Redfall. This happened before the Microsoft acquisition. Tango Gameworks: Listed 1,502 people (1,442 professional roles) on the Hi-Fi Rush credits. Development started in 2018 and took nearly 5 years. Now they were pitching HFR2 and wanted more staff. That's a big investment. I personally don't want to see these studios closed but I think we can objectively understand why these decisions may have been made. I'd have preferred to keep Tango Gameworks open personally. That's the closure that sucks the most imo.

Man Tango has just 96 developers, the credits include collaborators, authors of the many songs in the game and so on. Don't try to justify Microsoft with this bullshit.

this credits Xbox waaaaay too much. SEGA were great at building games from the jump, back in the 1980s. Xbox never knew how to make games, they just hired mercenaries

I'm pissed about Xbox as well. I've had the Xbox 360 since day one, bought the Xbox one and then the Series X. I had over 725,000 Gamerscore, and around July 27 2023. I got banned permanently, with no response of what I did to deserve this ban, I don't communicate in text messages I barely play online and when I do it's mainly by myself or with friends, and I don't cheat. So Why Xbox Enforcement Team.

This is why I don't go full digital unless is super cheap or straight up roms/emulation. You account is at risk of getting nuked very high with these ai mods.

Why so mad? Sweet Baby Detected and its successor DEI Detected is just a posting of Public Knowledge, the same games posted on Sweet Baby and the others. An easier way to see if the game is for you. Its freedom of choice my guy.

DEI is short-hand for “blatant pandering & lack of substance (eg good gameplay/story)” and many people, including myself, are tired of it. The whole purpose to these “detected” groups is to push back on this stuff by boycotting them. If you don’t mind this stuff, you’re free to buy. Let people play and support what they want.
