Incredibly impressive man, indeed not perfect but this is dope and loved how it is cost efficient and well controlled.

I realize this is 4 years old, but I would get dual color analog strips with warm (2200-2700k) and cool white (5000k-6500k) then use something that can use high frequency PWM to dim. This way you can dim the entire ceiling without noticeable flicker and have warmer colors for some relaxed lighting. RGB addressable is cool no doubt however the color rendering index is going to be worse which is important for filming for any white (if you are getting (RGBW) and it doesn’t seem practical for general room lighting.

I wanted to make a ceiling like this to emulate a complete cycle of daylight. RGBW LED strips of decent quality should be able to handle that. My dream is to add fiber optic lighting to create constellations in the panels for night mode. Yours was a "kinda nice" project? Amazing project! Thanks for showing us an awesome build!

I always wanted to do this in my future luxury 1980s house that has nice wood cabinets and wood diffuser or built in ceiling with wood flames or if i ended up buying a house that kitchen has boring ceiling light to keep the whole kitchen more brighter if i can build drop in ceiling fluorescent lighting for kitchen that would be nice idea… my foster parent have those in Santa Clarita, California as well our house were filmed for movie “Don’t Tell mom the babysitter’s dead!” In 1991 but my foster mom has made me to replace new LED fluorescent tube from old school fluorescent bulbs that were bad and not brighter enough after replaced it into new one with LED fluorescent bulb and we had to remove the old fluorescent cover lens were so old and went to Home Depot and had bought white clear Len cover then swapped the old one out and put the new lens cover on the ceiling fluorescent in the kitchen but the hardest part is cutting the cover Len was the most difficult thing was that i ended up breaking down by using wrong kind of tool to cut the Lens but it’s turned out better and brighter made my foster mom so happy that she didn’t want to remodel her own kitchen’s that from 1980’s kitchen with fluorescent lighting were popular in back old day till the people started realizing their electrical bills were going high while those fluorescent tube lights were being replaced by LED and no longer producing of the regular fluorescent tube anymore today and still very expensive to buy them from retail store or ordered online to ship our home…. By the way. Your video of your room with your idea of led drop in ceiling had me thinking about doing that in my parrot room to remove the ceiling fan out of the parrot room and make the room like your room but I’m not sure about the wiring and the led cores i didn’t want to deal with lot of those things were just too much I’ll probably have to do to get 8 or 10 of led fluorescent mount and buy 10 of them since they become smaller and tinier than old regular fluorescent tube were thick

I went to find your ceiling tile vid and saw this one; I'm wiring up my garage to turn it from 'storage' to 'shop space' so lighting is going to be key. But I also have a "Reward" to myself of 'full LED conversion' for my own F-150 when I finish zero'ing off my remaining credit card. I'm bookmarking this and hope you keep it updated. :)

@@ColtographyOh totaly; I look back at the last two years and I blink - it's kind of amazing what "uninterrupted prosperity" (e.g. being paid properly with no interruptions) does for one's ability to recover. And make plans of course. :D Do you have any thoughts on LED swapping to make the truck Hi-Vis when you put the hazards on? (I moved from ana apartment to a more rural area, fields fog and rain on country roads vs. the old city streets of my commute)

I feel like as vehicles do more and more proprietary stuff with their lights and other electronics, we're going to need more people like you showing us how to replace them ourselves. And if we gotta go through the trouble, why not make them better than the companies did? As a sidenote: I'd be curious how to make the headlights not blind people. Especially in these taller trucks. I feel guilt driving them, because I know when I'm in a sedan those things are like tiny suns and blind me for sure.
@Coltography
@Coltography Жыл бұрын
The issue with tall trucks is nobody aims their beams. I properly aimed mine so they don't blind people or beam into their mirrors when I'm behind them.
