As nice as this sounds, I can imagine it must pee off the community, in a way just like a Harley.

I work the night shift delivering diesel, and every once in awhile I'll be driving along zoning out, and a guy next to me hits the load ass Jake's, and I jump in my seat a little.

Just make sure you touch the brake pedal occasionally, so when I'm loaded in the Roll Off, I know we are slowing down. Some of the Jakes stop very quick. And that "following distance" starts evaporating very quickly before I realize you are stopping. There's no brake lights when the Jake is dragging

FYI, if you use a Jake for anything other than going down hills,it will eventually mess them up!!! It's stupid to use them when you don't really need them, especially in a truck stop, just showing them off!!!! So all you stealing wheel holders know!!! Your not a professional driver,if you're just using them to show off,and make yourself look like a big shot!!! You just make yourself look stupid, like a non professional stearing wheel holder!!!

In the 70s Haulin construction equipment down 17 from Flagstaff to south of Sedona . My truck could be heard for 15 miles hittin the jake . I was hauling D9 s scrapers dragging the can . Was time to relax then !

Drove a KW water truck in the mines for a little, boss said jakes were disabled, tried anyways and realized it worked fine and he just didnt want me using it. i used it all the time until i heard him on radio tell me "nothing in this mine is steep enough for a water trucks jake turn it off." either way he was right but childhood dream accomplished
