Fun fact: the two T-rexes at the end are supposed to be the same mom/dad dinos from "The Lost World". Remember that scene where Jeff Goldblum's business partner Eddie gets killed while trying to stop the research trailer from falling off the cliff? One of the scariest, most tragic scenes in the whole franchise.

In my opinion, these projections were much better than the current ones from 2015 onward, it made the show more spooky in a way. I always like to come back to this video to see how this show changed so much from this angle over the years. Considering this was filmed in 2009, the quality came out really great!

I was just laying down reading about something when my heart jumped, and I listened to my 5 year old watching Star wars, without seeing the movie, I immediately recognized the voices and scene. I'm sitting here almost crying with nastalgia I haven't thought of or remembered once since. At his age I rode this ride, and over 20 years later heard parts from the ride playing in the movie he's watching. This was so crazy to experience, thank you for this video it let me revisit this memory.

Rivers of America at Disneyland. The view is facing Tom Sawyer’s island and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad from New Orleans. These are the same water screens they also use for the Fantasmic show.

This ride was my childhood. My family had park passes so I rode this so many times, I'd like to say triple digit but realistically probably not. The majority of my childhood toys came from the gift shop at the exit. I know it isn't the first time Disney has replaced a ride but none of the others hurt like this one did.

I wish they could do at the very least a version of this but with the updates and have c3po be his usual self. If only they would stop focusing on the newer movies and series and do what it was originally when they updated it... a ride that would be DIFFERENT EVERY TIME YOU RODE IT!!! Heck bring back what the update was SUPPOSED to be and add the death star trench run sequence for one of the second half sequences as some fan service! They have the money, let's see if they can pay attention to what we want!

Don’t even get me started on when RX24 says “I’ve always wanted too do this!” Lil me was about too throw hands! So incredibly happy I’ve experienced the original and is a must ride at Disney!!!

Screens aren't necessarily bad as long as they aren't overused. This ride is an example of how to effectively use them and still, Universal puts some physical aspect: the sheer size and the water spraying from cracks in the windows add to the experience. I wanted to ride this in Orlando but it was "winter season" (Jan 1-30) so most of Jurassic World was under refurbishment and updating at the time. There were huge walls put up that had cheeky warnings like "Do NOT feed the dinos." At least the visitor center was still open. The cafe on the second floor serves good burgers and kids will like dining next to the robotic dinos that stick their heads out every so often. Don't worry, the raptors won't bite. 😁 Since JW was mostly closed for the winter, this put a strain on the rest of the parks. Both Harry Potter parks (Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade) were crowded despite the f-f-freezing weather. The lines to the hot butterbeer kiosks were packed!

Fun fact, in the new version there are random planets u can visit and in many of them they make a reference to this, saying something along the lines of “Star tours, what are you doing here? This is a combat zone!” My favorite one is the Hoth one because a pilot says that and C-3PO says “combat zone?” And then they fly over a hill and then get shot at and he just cries “ohhh noo”
