I cannot tell you how much I love these spreads of yours. Theyre so simple and gorgeous. I don’t really make resolutions either. But thats because I dont really think that the year changing numbers really means anything. 😂 I get excited for it, but life doesn't really change. The only TV I watch now is whatever Bub watches. Lately it's been this Nick Jr show called Blaze. Which I am kinda impressed with because it teaches them some pretty nuanced concepts like division, coordinates, hydraulics, and other STEM things that I was surprised they'd put in a kid's show.

I'm typing this on my phone as I am watching and doing chores so hopefully I get all of my thoughts. I really enjoyed the intro to the journal. Genuinely. I was curious as to the intention of the journal and why it was made so you did the work for me. Thank you! The new year is alright. While it's just a change in number in my opinion, to be healthy is always a blessing. I don't subscribe to the new year magic, but that's because every day is a new beginning. Seeing your journaling spreads and other folks posting about their other planners made me really consider a different planner for the year. For journaling or creative purposes. I always love watching your videos because you are so real and it makes me laugh. And it's so true that time moves so quickly once they start talking. Bub turned 2 last October and he is expressing so many thoughts and it seems like he's learning something new every single day. He sleeps on his own bed most all night now and I'm missing him coming to bed a little bit.

I love the theme for your line up. Yes to using the book kits. For the last kit, I would use the larger doll. I think the foil is like sewing marking, measurements and all that. I thought I was the only one where the washi sticker sticking to itself was a problem. 😂

I couldn’t even tell that the spiderwebs weren’t originally spiderwebs. I was thinking “dang that’s an interesting spiderweb deco she’s using”. I really enjoy how you lined your sidebar with the thin strips. I need to try that. Dang….sorry about the news regarding the blood clot. I hope that things turn around. Medical issues are never fun. We love a massive happy mail day. I love the super cute deco that you used to mark day to day events. It’s always great to see the creativity when the kit is themed.

Hey there! I’m so glad to see others sharing their thoughts about the changes happening in the community. When Tay mentioned feeling overwhelmed with memory planning and how it stopped being enjoyable for her, she decided to switch to a system that suited her better-like using a smaller planner. It’s similar to others who have moved to using B6 planners or smaller ones. I realized that memory planning wasn’t for me either. I need to have my weekly plans set, and I don’t have the time to go back, decorate, and fill in memories. I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep up if I fell behind by a month or more, so I never attempted it. Although I loved the idea of using fancy stickers, I knew that using them for memory planning wouldn’t work for me, so I turned to Bible journaling instead. I started it last year and switched to a daily format this year, which has been a great fit for me. I use both weekly and decorative kits for my journaling, but now that shops offer more decorative options, I tend to use those more than the weekly ones. All this to say, people often follow “trends” that aren’t really trends for those who genuinely use and enjoy those styles and tools.

Your spreads are so pretty!!!! I really enjoyed hearing your thought process during the first part of the video. I never knew that that jack-o-lanterns represented the soul….learn something new everyday. You’ve inspired me to go find a smaller notebook and just play with stickers and do some simple journaling in it.

Long comment incoming. And don't feel pressured to respond. I like to make these comments for 1) engagement with your video and 2) as a way to work through my own thoughts. It's like journaling, but I sort of burden you too. But feel free to respond (or not respond) whenever and obviously it doesn't have to be a short story. ------------------------- Ohhhhh….I didn’t even the influencer side of it. I showed up to this side of the community around 2021, so I missed seeing most of these trends emerging and how certain people were at the forefront of them. Sometimes I wonder if Tay realizes that she is THE influencer for this part of the community? Because you’re definitely onto something. Like I think people wanted more deco for their spreads, but I don’t think it was to this extent for journaling/bullet journaling. Like I'm sure she was just switching planner styles for what fit her needs. But then so many people in the community seemed to want to switch and for me personally, I was like....wait I just got here. Where is everyone going? I was talking to another friend about the bows and florals and stuff, and she said something relatively similar. Like obviously the communities are going to evolve and whatnot, but It’s just so fascinating to me to see this type of crossover happening. And see it happening so quickly. But like I said, I’m relatively new to this community so this might be how quickly this usually happens and this is baby’s first time through it. I see your point that decorative planning in this memory planning style will be around. I am curious as to what it’ll look like next year, two years from now, and so on. Like we've gone from the in-line with the column to the tilted. Now we've got all of these journaling elements and I feel that most people prefer elements that don't span the width of the column. And very much like how influencers (at least in the sense that we see on Instagram and tiktok) are relatively new, I wonder how sticker shops are going to adapt to the changing crowds/trends. Like yes, I do PR for a shop so I technically am in influencer, but I do wonder how things are going to shape out. And how individual influencer’s content will change too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I have really been enjoying talking to people and listening to people give me their opinion on the matter too. Also, you crack me up with how much you were trying to remind people that these are just your opinions. No worries on my name. It’s kinda of a weird nickname, but you got the name part right! Even though you said you’re gonna do it anyway even though Jess beat you to it, please still do your memory lane walk through your journals. I would love to see it. Ugh….the way you have all of your spreads flow into each other 💙. That is only something I wish I could do. That blue you carried all the way through. It’s just gorgeous. Lastly, so your spread is so pretty! I love that scene you did in the sidebar. Your touches of color through the colorwashes and the ink swatches is always so good.

i don’t know what it is but you don’t need to do much with two lil bees. meaning you didn’t need the extras. This spread came out lovely. I loved how you put down the alcohol swatches and the florals bordering it. Love the colors of this kit generally. just beautiful and I have FOMO missing out on this kit.

I totally get what you mean about not being able to stop thinking about a kit and not having room for it. I had my October line up solid for a while, but I had to swap out my anniversary spread because of this exact situation. And dude....shipping has become such a pain from certain shops. I haven't purchased from some because of the shipping too.

I love how you are so disciplined with your orders. I use to plan out the week but have gotten off track. Now I'm back tracking and running through what I have. Trying my BEST to use what I have and not buy more. It is harrrrrrd! I will buy 2-4 Halloween kits knowing there's only one week of Halloween and i dont want to do Halloween all month. Taylor Made has definitely improved on her kits. And I think she has the best dolls.

I feel you struggling with the coils. I love the look of the full length washi, it just makes the spread feel complete for me. The thing is the change is so minor with the coil planner it might not be worth all the time to cut the stickers to fit between the coils. I still do it though. But yeah, it's not for everybody. Girl, I know about when the art is so good that you don’t want to cover the artwork. This was one of those kits for me too. I love what you did with your tilted boxes. I love how your spread turned out! Everyone who has used this kit has done some amazing and different things. I especially love how you pulled the alcohol inks throughout your spread. Also, we don’t really watch TV in our house, except for Pupstruction or Bluey….otherwise my husband and I just watch our own niches on KZbin.
