would be alot different if you had someone with alot of muscle, they would beslow at start but fast at end
@griffin72743 ай бұрын
@SupperSoup muscle doesnt slow u down that's stupid. Speed is dependent on strength and rate of force production, which are nerves and don't adapt well
@amaimi13 ай бұрын
Its depends on how well you use it plus breathing and running method is also a key points to a faster sprint
@tegjwokjohn18393 ай бұрын
@@griffin7274 I mean yeah but muscle also adds weight meaning even if you're producing more force than someone with less muscle than you, you might still go the same speed because he is lighter.
@Stellar-Cowboy3 ай бұрын
Until a certain point. Usually more weight (more muscle) means a lower top end
@universalnetwork2643 ай бұрын
@@tegjwokjohn1839 That's sort of true. If you have a skinny, malnourish guy who runs for a living he will do better than a guy who can squat 500lbs and is in very fit shape but doesn't run. However if that guy with the muscle trained running/sprinting etc for a living too, he could train all his muscle fibers to transmit as much force as possible giving him a way better advantage even if he's 100lbs heavier. He would have to do a lot of running though. The lighter guy has a lot less muscle so he can pretty quickly train whatever muscle fibres he has to full power potential for running, where as the bodybuilder/muscular guy has to spend a lot more time training extra muscle fibres to be able to power through the extra weight he is already carrying but if he trains long enough and somehow manages to learn how to use every muscle fibre to 100% efficiency he will be way faster.
@griffin72743 ай бұрын
Issue is speed, aka rate of force development is not as trainable, so all you demonstrated is who has the genetics. These are all in shape people. Taking someone's back squat from 135 to 515 in a few years while keeping a good body fat is the best investment. Strength is the foundation every athleticism trait sits upon.
@brooksnewman96873 ай бұрын
I don’t think I agree because in plenty of sports strength and even overall athleticism will play a role but probably isn’t the most important aspect or best foundation. I’ve been playing chess and doing martial arts to some competitive extent over the past 5 years and they both serve as fine examples.
@griffin72743 ай бұрын
@brooksnewman9687 wtf r u talking about. Sport strength, strength is strength. Power, speed, rate of force is genetics. How thick thr axon is and mylien tissue that insulate the nerve.

@samjandorf9733 They didn't need to pray they were born that way. No they practice technique and do strength training. Usian bolt prob ran a 100 M in Less then 11 sec in 8th grade. You can't train power the rate at which nerves send impulses. If you would like to see if nerves can adapt well get a nerve injurie and tell me how the healing goes. Trust me it sucks. The CNS once damage isn't able to be repaired and the pns systems can only slightly improve. Power stays on it linear couse with strength. You can isolate the 2, but you directly train strength. As a indirect response power goes up with strength.

I was with you until you said it’s about moving the weight fast. Anyone can move a weight fast that they’re strong enough to move fast. But to get strong enough to do that, you’re gonna have sets where you move the weight “slow” because speed always decreases as you approximate maximal loads
@qfformula4 ай бұрын
social media sucks for this reason. You make one video, and people automatically agree/disagree. Of course, we lift weights over 90% 1 RM. I train every athlete using the force-velocity curve, heard of it? We make stops on each velocity over a microcycle.
