Thx for the guide!! It worked 🤝 But testing it out now and I get 40mbit/down 🤔 and up. With my 3 "stock" google wifi /mesh I get 400mbit up and down. I have 600mbit fiber. What setting should I change!?

While trying to install second image, after second SW7 press, the router remains in blinking purple state and it seems installing process stalls. I've tried OpenWrt versions 23.05.02, 23.05.04 ,and 23.05.05. Even though when I try to reinstall chromeos gale stable recovery image it remains in blinking orange stage.

As near as I can tell, I did everything right, but I am at the step to login with "root" & "blank", but it will not accept it. Any ideas on that login? I have tried many combinations for the (192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/luci/). It auto populates with "root" already in the Username box. I get the error of: "Invalid username and/or password! Please try again." I thought maybe it was i used the current version of 23.05.4; so I then downloaded the 23.05.2 files and tried it again. But same result, i get to the step to sign in to the gui at 192.168.1.1, and it will not take the Password box blank, or any other combination of Usernames & Passwords I can think of. Help?

Any idea why my process might not have worked? I am at the end after booting to the wrt flash drive and to login to it with "root" & left blank. So I can not copy and then Wright the needed files to flash the device.

i think you forgot to extend the internal storage which is expandable to 4gb

This Video saved me from buttload of trouble. No one bothers to mention that there is a OnHub Recovery Utility for Windows. Thanks a lot!

I had the same problem and yesterday fixed the same way but I just add up 3-4cm wire to make it little longer and not to break when stretching.

Dude thank you so much, no offense to who wrote the wiki page but the steps make no sense.

Excellent tutorial, I just lack the courage to carry out this procedure. Have you performed it on other nodes? Were you able to mesh between them? Can you make a video about this?

Lose that gawd-awful "music". I like learning things but not if I have to listen to that...or much of anything else. Why do video makers think their audience needs music?????

100% agree with this comment!! And yes, this is a good reference video. I am dealing with the same issue and I am sure this will solve my problem.

Hi, I have a 223bw and I have changed all the 820+330uF electrolitic capacitors but (ignoring the other little ones) with ultra low ESR panasonic pieces. Everything went ok fot a couple of weeks; then I reassembled it and that b*tch started again to turn off. What else could possibly be? Tbh the capacitors were not so damaged but I changed them anyway. The small ones are totally flat.

Replacement caps should be exactly the same specs or can they vary? volts? micro farads?
@PametniDom5 жыл бұрын
They can be higher voltage and higher capacitance. Voltage can be one or more classes higher. No problem putting a 25v cap instead of a 10v. But capacitance can be only 30% higher. So replacing a 1000uf cap with a 1200uf is ok.

Hi. There, what is the wattage of the 33 Ohms resisters? Did you use the .5 W resisters, higher than .5 W or Lower than .5 W
@PametniDom6 жыл бұрын
They are 2W.

It would be interesting to hear different levels of fan noise also, other than nonsense background music....

As you saw the 22 ohm resistor still gets quite hot so it has to be mounted in the airflow. I didn't bother to mod the psu fans because they are not as loud as the system fans. And also psu's are little harder to take apart.
@Science7597 жыл бұрын
Sorry for another question, but what were your 33 ohm resistors rated at? I am actually looking at now getting 33 ohm resistors since that, as you said, is the sweet spot between too loud and just under the threshold of making the BMC unhappy.
@Science7597 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have been searching forever for a video this detailed on this issue of the PowerEdge fan noise. I am probably going to use 22 ohm resistors. However, did you do this mod to your power supply fans as well?

It's not that complicated if you have a few screwdrivers and some skill. If you can, backup all data from the dying hard drive first. Please note, that the 4 small screws near the vga and hdmi connector don't have to be removed.
