I loved your video. I loved the way you talked about this topic and the editing in general. I only advise you to get better on the audio quality. The level odf the db was too low and i advise you to use a anti-pop filter on the zoom. Have a great day!

Nicely. I have a question about the resolution of the video in the source code for use on KZbin. Do you make upscale to 4k specifically so that KZbin allows you to get more color information, a higher bitrate when watching? Does the video quality suffer if the objects move very fast in the frame?

Glass over camera body always. This is why I chose the $1200 FX30 and paired it with the $10k 40mm Atlas Anamorphic. These days all good cameras shoot 4K/120. Save up and spend your money on the glass, it holds value a lot more than any camera body will.

Great shots! I’m curious (I know this may be a loaded question) but how were you able to push the shadows this much in the color grade? After seeing how light it was on set I want to implement this for sure

We actually shot this at 1600 iso and just made sure we had what we wanted to fall off into black to be all the way underexposed. To check that would be to look at the monitor with a rec.709 and also looking at false colors. In the grade you can use power windows to bring down the surround areas. But honestly it’s a push and pull type of thing. While shooting I just made sure the light wasn’t bouncing everywhere and on some shoots we put of black v flats to ensure it was completely dark.
