I'm an alcoholic who's tried everything, been drinking 20 years and cannot believe I am still alive. Weird thing for me is I deeply enjoy this sick thing of WATCHING my body decay from booze. Like, waking up with bruises or feeling pains in my gut make me truly think, "I'm just dying like everyone else is, just a bit faster." The episodes where the person rejects treatment and or fails is the best. It's brutal and it shows a lot of people simply cannot function without their DOC. I cannot stand the sappy Intervention episodes that focus hard on family. My family and I rejected each other a long time ago. I literally cannot stand them and refuse their calls or texts. This world is terrible.

Addiction is a serious problem people are dying everyday from this disease and there’s some who can’t ever get clean in sober. I got Sober at The Haven in West Palm Beach Florida I was a really bad alcoholic never really did drugs but it’s quite the journey I will always be Grateful for The Haven they truly saved my life

I remember coming here for the first time 12 years ago when I first heard this and… I’m still here because that’s where it is. I’m so upset everyone hasn’t heard it.

I got school bullied. Nine years. …Anyway. But I still here, just… really want to give up. All the struggle and self-control, or trying to stay awake, alive. I don't know.

Sometimes you want to cry your heart out. But your tears don’t come out. You want to cry yet you can’t just….. cry. The feeling is very weird.

This version goes with the show so much better. It's hard to imagine it wasn't written for the show, it matches perfectly. I read an interview they did, and he said it's about walking away from someone when you have to. This, in my opinion, is so much better, and so much more appropriate for the show, because they're not all happy endings, and the original is just too upbeat. That's just what I think tho.

I had ti have my own intervention after a decade of addiction...I'm 22 and just fully stopped a month and a half ago. Meeting my biological mother saved my life. I had no one else until then. And she is the best influence in my life. Very happy now. In college and working full time with my own car. Things i could've never dreamt of before this year 😀

A&E's "Intervention" is such an emotional rollercoaster of a television show, it's always so wonderful to see the joy and relief on their face(s) after completing treatment, like a gigantic weight lifted off of them mentally and spiritually.
