That's absolutely incorrect. Toyota did a whole heap more development to fix driveline vibration, oil leaks (particularly rear main), interior plastics quality, suspension lean, ECU failures, transmission shudder, key less entry issues, NVH issues, water and dust ingress...by the end of it, the Lexcen ended up being a better vehicle than the Commodore it was based on...but that's still not a high bar

@@JossRickard I've seen inside one...looked identical in every way to the Commodore. We had a VN Commodore for 17 years in my family, no ECU failures in that time, no major issues at all, in fact.

@JossRickard i think the lexcen was owned by a different crowd and all these issues were not present by how they were looked after. They in fact have identical GM gear in them as the commodore.

I cry everytime I watch this and I’m not even Australian! I love the Falcon even though we never gotten the Australian Falcon. Our American Ford Falcon ended production in the 1960’s but continued on in Australia. If I have the money, I will import a newer Australian Ford Falcon to the United States and may drive it to the Ford Motor Company HQ and show them the car and hopefully they’ll make them for American roads here
