Nicely done, Hall and Oates both adored soul music, especially the "philly" sound of the 60s and 70s, since they both came of age in philly and met there. They have a very deep appreciation for R&B going back decades. They played a very successful concert at the Apollo, was very well received. Daryl still has a very long running internet show "live from daryl's house" where he jams with a lot of great artists that influenced him.

Going way back. I really like "Monday's Rain", which I think is on this same compilation album. Also, a song called "Battle of the Blue and Grey" is quite good too. I also like "The Children Laugh" from their other Australia compilation 14 Songs something or other - it is a bit of a typical 60s protest song (think early Dylan), which is unusual for them, so it's a gem in that regard. Thanks for continuing the Bee Gees deep dive - I love it!!

I think my favorite song they do from the early days is "I Was A Lover, A Leader of Men", they are early teens and Mo does a little solo. Its a good song. If I remember right, Barry won a wrting award for that song in Australia.

They did several Beatles covers in the early days, my favorite is Bee Gees version of "Ticket to Ride" and I also really lover their version of "Blowing in the Wind" which really showcases their harmonies at a very young age. They also did a cover of Carole King's "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" in the 90s as part of a tribute album and it is really good.

Have you done the live 1979 version of WORDS, from the Spirits tour? Barry pours his heart out in that song and they briefly show his wife and son on the screen as he’s singing. The ladies in the audience was going crazy when Barry sung this.
