Oh you absolutely can stop taking them. But here is the rub.. poor eating/overeating is a BEHVIORAL PROBLEM. Until one address and corrects their view about what they're eating/how they're eating..they'll continue to repeat the same problem over and over and over. You should try correcting the behavioral prolbem first before considering glp1's/semiglutides.. Actually try to avoid taking them all together.
@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast Ай бұрын
Let's unpack this. Poor eating or overeating is not always a behavioral problem. Many people are simply uneducated about proper nutrition (protein intake, sodium, fiber, hydration, and complex carbs vs. simple carbs). The list goes on and on. And let's not forget, some people overeat because they are stressed or bored or because they live with others who overeat. Others overeat because of a hormone imbalance, sleep deprivation, or because they've simply waited too long to eat. It's not always a behavioral problem as you stated. GLP-1 agonists suppress appetite, but they also stabilize blood sugar levels, preventing the spikes and crashes that can cause cravings and overeating. This helps reduce the emotional triggers that often lead to overeating, promoting a more balanced and controlled approach to eating. As a result, GLP-1 agonists support a healthier relationship with food and more sustainable weight loss compared to fad diets or extreme calorie restriction. It would be nice if weight loss were as simple as talking to a therapist and changing how you view food. Sometimes, people need that support in addition to medication to help them achieve their goals.

I have no desire to stop taking them, as I’m getting several benefits from them beyond weight loss. So, sure, I can stop but I like my BP being under control better than it’s been in decades (and this effect was experienced even before I lost much weight. Just one example. It’s also made it a breeze to quit drinking. So, this episode seems like it’s only taking weight loss into account as the only benefit and only thing one has to manage if they do choose to go off the drug.

Is an allergic reaction common with bac and can I use sterile water instead for subq injects?
@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast Ай бұрын
No. BAC water allergic reactions are extremely rare. You may also want to keep in mind that a reaction can occur because of the added peptide or medication or the technique of reconstitution. Both bacteriostatic water and sterile water for injection can be used for subcutaneous injections. In a nutshell, if you’re using a single-dose peptide vial, either can be used. If you are using a multi-dose vial, you should use bacteriostatic water to dilute your peptide to help prevent bacteria from growing in your peptide vial. The added benzyl alcohol in the bacteriostatic water will prevent bacteria from growing in your peptide vial for up to 28 days. Because sterile water for injection doesn’t have anything added to prevent bacteria from growing, you should only use it to dilute single-dose vial peptides. It should be used completely at once and then thrown away. I hope this information helps!

I want to purchase TB-500 but want the capsule version and have found TB-4 FRAG + BPC 157 ARG. Is TB-4 FRAG the capsule version of TB-500? Is theTB-4 FRAG the same fragment as that of the TB-500 fragment? Do they work the same?
@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast Ай бұрын
Great question. TB-4 (Thymosin Beta-4) is a NATURALLY occurring peptide in the human body that plays a role in tissue repair and regeneration, promoting cell migration, and reducing inflammation. TB-500 is a SYNTHETIC version of a fragment of TB-4, designed to enhance its effects on healing and recovery by improving tissue repair and reducing inflammation more efficiently. Since TB-500 is a fragment of TB-4, it may not have all the same biological functions as the full-length peptide. However, both TB-4 and TB-500 have shown promise in promoting healing and reducing inflammation. When choosing between the two, it comes down to personal preference.

Tight junctions (TJs) are important for keeping our intestines healthy. These TJs are made of different molecules like claudin and occludin, and they control what can pass between the cells in our intestines. One of their main jobs is to act as a barrier to stop harmful substances from getting into our body. When TJs don't work properly, it can cause our immune system to overreact and lead to chronic inflammation. Recent studies suggest that TB4 and what we eat can help keep our TJs strong and reduce inflammation. TB4 is an immune modulator, anti-inflammatory and can be helpful when people are struggling with various sensitivities and intolerances. Because TB-4 helps heal and repair tight junctions in the GI tract and it may help reduce food reactivity. As for brand to recommend, I would suggest reaching out to a peptide therapy clinic near you. You'll want to make sure that get their peptides from uses peptides from a GMP-certified, FDA-registered, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturer. This means they have quality and safe products free of unhealthy ingredients or dangerous contaminants.

Appetitie supressants are never a good idea.. A change in how you view food.. changing your eating behavior.. is a far far far better idea.. Are the awesome pepetides out there? yup, but they arent glp-1's or anything from the semiglutide category.
@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast Ай бұрын
Let's discuss this. Many people believe that appetite suppressants are inherently harmful, often associating them with severe side effects and unhealthy weight loss methods. However, this perspective overlooks the fact that starvation diets and extreme exercise routines are not only hard to maintain but can also harm your health. Furthermore, the myth that all appetite suppressants are bad, fails to acknowledge their many health benefits and the individualized nature of medical treatments. What may not be suitable for one person could be life-changing for another. For example, there are certainly people who exercise daily, make positive changes to the way they eat, and practice good sleep hygeine and stress management, yet they're still overweight. These individuals could certainly benefit from an appetite suppressant like semaglutide. Let's also not forget to mention that weight loss in overweight individuals decreases the risk of cardiovascular disease (e.g., heart attack and stroke), type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, and certain cancers. It can help with joint pain and improve fertility, mood, and sleep. I would venture to say that these benefits outweigh the possible risks of taking an appetite suppressant. I agree that changing how you "view food" is a must. With that being said, it's extremely important to work alongside a healthcare professional when using appetite suppressants or ANY weight loss strategy. They can help address nutritional and physical activity requirements needed to prevent lean muscle mass loss and nutritional deficiencies. They can also help manage possible side effects.

@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast 2 ай бұрын
Great question. Not necessarily. Both oral and injectable BPC-157 work systemically. Injectable BPC-157 bypasses the digestive system, allowing for direct entry into the bloodstream. This means that the amount of a BPC-157 that enters the circulation and is able to have an active effect may be more significant versus the oral version. Oral peptides and medications may result in lower bioavailability due to the peptide being broken down by digestive enzymes and stomach acid. We know that oral BPC-157 works well for gut health and injuries. However, many users have reported better results with injectable BPC-157 for injuries.

@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast 2 ай бұрын
Yes, you are correct. BPC-157 is available as a sublingual tablet. I like to think of BPC-157 sublingual vs oral tablet like this... Absorption and Bioavailability: Sublingual administration tends to offer higher bioavailability and quicker absorption since it bypasses the digestive system. Tablets, on the other hand, may have reduced bioavailability due to degradation in the stomach and intestines. Onset of Action: Sublingual forms generally have a faster onset of action compared to tablets. Convenience: Tablets are more convenient to take for those who prefer not to hold a substance under their tongue. Effectiveness: While both forms aim to deliver the same therapeutic benefits, the sublingual route MAY be more effective due to better absorption and higher bioavailability. Hope this helps!

Great questions. In short, yes. The benefits last for several months. Typically, people get 2-4 cycles of Cerebrolysin per year. Keep in mind, clinical studies indicate that the best treatment effects are seen when Cerebrolysin is administered as soon as it is possible after TBI and continued during the rehabilitation phase. Clinical studies and evidence report the following: Short to Medium-Term Benefits Cognitive Function: Studies have shown that Cerebrolysin can improve cognitive functions in TBI patients during the acute and subacute phases of recovery. Improvements in memory, attention, and executive functions have been reported. Functional Recovery: Patients receiving Cerebrolysin tend to exhibit better functional recovery, including motor and daily living activities, compared to those receiving placebo or standard care. Long-Term Benefits Sustained Improvement: Some studies suggest that the benefits observed in the short term can be sustained in the long term. Patients treated with Cerebrolysin may show continued improvement or stabilization in cognitive and functional outcomes for several months post-treatment. Neuroplasticity: Cerebrolysin is thought to support neuroplasticity, which is crucial for long-term recovery and adaptation following TBI. This includes the formation of new synaptic connections and the repair of neural networks. Unfortunately, Cerebrolysin isn't approved for use in the U.S. It's available in more than 50 countries worldwide. I suggest speaking to your neurologist about its availability. They may be able to direct you to a peptide compounding pharmacy or clinic that can provide Cerebrolysin.

First, the lyophilized tablets will last for up to 3 weeks at room temperature (prior to reconstitution). Reconstituted thymosin alpha 1 should be placed in a travel cooler during travel and in the refrigerator when you arrive at your destination. However, once it's reconstituted, it only lasts one week in the refrigerator. Hope this helps.

Great question. We aren’t exactly sure. Most of the research on BPC-157 has focused on its effects on gastrointestinal healing, muscle and tendon injuries, and corneal injuries. Some individuals and practitioners may speculate about potential benefits of BPC-157 for eye floaters due to its anti-inflammatory and tissue repair properties, but to my knowledge, as of today, this has not been studied in animal models or clinical trials. Keep in mind that eye floaters are typically caused by age-related changes to the vitreous inside your eye, not injury. Tiny clumps of collagen fibers form inside the vitreous, and these can cast tiny shadows (floaters) on your retina.

Is it expensive to make?
@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast 6 ай бұрын
Great question. In short, yes. Firstly, one of the primary expenses is the procurement of high-quality amino acids, the building blocks of peptides. These amino acids must meet stringent purity standards to ensure the successful synthesis of the desired peptide sequence. Additionally, the cost of reagents and solvents required for peptide synthesis can be significant. Reagents such as coupling agents, protecting groups, and activating agents are essential for linking amino acids together in the desired sequence, while solvents provide the medium for these reactions to occur. The purity and quality of these reagents directly impact the efficiency and success rate of peptide synthesis, thereby influencing overall costs. Furthermore, equipment costs represent a substantial portion of the expenses associated with peptide synthesis. Specialized synthesis instruments such as peptide synthesizers, HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) systems for purification, and analytical instruments for characterization are necessary for efficient peptide production and quality control. Maintenance, calibration, and occasional upgrades of these instruments also contribute to the overall expenditure. Additionally, labor costs must be factored in, including the salaries of skilled personnel responsible for designing peptide sequences, performing synthesis reactions, purifying peptides, and conducting analytical tests to assess purity and identity. The complexity of peptide synthesis often requires highly trained chemists or biochemists, whose expertise commands a premium in the job market.

Is this like a clean adderall?
@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast 6 ай бұрын
Great question Patrick. Adderall is a stimulant medication that works by increasing levels of 2 chemicals; dopamine and norepinephrine. Both of which are believed to play an important role in attention and mood. DIHEXA on the other hand works primarily by interacting with the angiotensin IV receptor (AT4 receptor) in the brain. This receptor is involved in various cognitive functions, including memory formation and learning. When it binds to the AT4 receptor, it triggers a cascade of intracellular signaling pathways, ultimately leading to the release of neurotrophic factors, such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). BDNF is essential for the growth, survival, and function of neurons. By enhancing BDNF signaling, DIHEXA promotes the growth of new neurons, strengthens existing neuronal connections, and enhances synaptic plasticity-the ability of synapses to adapt and change in response to experience. These neurotrophic effects contribute to dihexa's ability to improve cognitive function, including memory, learning, and executive function. Overall, dihexa works by promoting neuronal growth, synaptic plasticity, and neurotransmitter function in the brain, leading to improvements in cognitive function.

DOES THYMOSIN ALPHA 1 HAS A CONTRADICTION WITH ANTICOAGULANTS LIKE 10 MG OF RIVAROXABAN ?
@peptidepodcast
@peptidepodcast 7 ай бұрын
Thymosin alpha-1 is primarily known for its immunomodulatory effects and its role in enhancing the immune system. It does this by modulating cytokines, regulating T Cells, and inhibiting pro-inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. It's not typically associated with direct effects on clotting factors or the coagulation cascade. However, it's important to note that research on thymosin alpha-1 is ongoing, and new findings may emerge. As you may know, rivaroxaban has a predictable anticoagulant effect, eliminating the need for routine coagulation monitoring. But there may be instances where your physician may monitor your hemoglobin, platelet count, aPTT, and PT. Usually this is necessary when breakthrough trombosis or bleeding occurs. Hope this helps!

The answer to this is complicated. The relationship between kisspeptin and DHT levels might indirectly occur through their interaction within the endocrine system. Changes in reproductive hormone levels, influenced by kisspeptin, might affect the production or balance of testosterone, which, in turn, could impact DHT levels. However, the direct effect of kisspeptin on DHT levels is not well-documented or understood in scientific literature. Keep in mind, that kisspeptin doesn’t directly affect testosterone levels but influences the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, a complex system involving interactions between the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and gonads (testes in males, ovaries in females). Through this axis, kisspeptin stimulates the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which triggers the release of LH and FSH. LH then stimulates the Leydig cells in the testes to produce testosterone. Therefore, while kisspeptin itself doesn’t directly impact testosterone levels, its role in stimulating the release of hormones like LH indirectly influences testosterone production by affecting the signals that regulate its synthesis in the testes.

Great question. You cannot mix the two together in the same syringe/vial. You can, however, take both peptides at the same time as two separate injections. I hope this helps!
