Love these videos, little late to this one but super enjoy this series and one of the main inspirations of me starting to play osrs and making my own semi-extreme one chunk account :)

If you get a max hit on strength and switch to attack, you lose the invisible +3 strength boost. So you’d need 92+3=95 strength to train attack with a new max hit.

Love the videos. It's great to hear someone with a proper accent playing osrs. The amount of times I've had to throw away my morning beans on toast because I've clicked on a video and heard some limey southerner speaking is heartbreaking. If you're ever in dewsbury give me a shout and we can share a hot cross bun. nice 1

Your friend is right btw. I’m the Sam I get told daily my problem is I’m to nice, and for while I was like I’m just being a normal bloke like how people should be so now I just say to them I won’t change from being “to nice because it’s me as a person” but unfortunately people try to use it as a excuse to not be friends or for other gains don’t change fuck them 👌🫡

Somebody ghosting you or rejecting you by telling you're too nice is gaslighting you. Your friend is right, there is no such thing as being too nice. However, sadly, your conclusion is wrong. You cannot assume what people think or feel, you can just observate the coherence of the things being told to you and sometimes, I empathises, the unadultered bs to get rid of me is the thing that fucking hurts me the most too. Because when it happens, the person knows you care but she still doesn't give a single fuck about you. Women do that I think more than men because it is a strong defensive mechanism, it creates confusion, it is a "better" mean to escape a grasp. It hurts but it is also a moment when you can think about what in your attitude toward the person was source of social pressure or distress toward her but often there is no reasons as people are jerks and will often choose the easy path while disregarding others. Also it is human relationships, you always have a part of responsability, people can gaslight themselves as well, an infinity of possibilities can lead to quiproquo, like an infinity of others can lead to surprise unprotected sex in the kitchen, ^^'

For the max hit, are you including the invisible boost from your attack style? Being on aggressive gives +3 str, accurate +3 att, defensive +3 def, and controlled +1 to each. Meaning that if you're at 88, on aggressive your max hit is calculating as if you're 88+3=91 str, but then when you swap to accurate you're only technically 88 str, which often would be 1 lower of a max hit.

Being too nice is a valid concern for someone to have about a friend. Being critical is sometimes necessary to advise your friends to change themselves for the better. Some people will also say this because they don't feel like they deserve being nice to.

Theres nice, theres nice and theres nice. Some people do and say nice things, but in reality is only doing it to get something in return(nice guy). As soon as the expectation is denied, the nice goes away. Some people do and say nice thing because they are too weak to stand up for themselves and risk conflict(doormat). When they gain strength or power, it will be revealed what they are actually like, they may be good or bad. Then there are those who do and say nice things because they actually mean it(good guy). This is the kind of person who will treat everyone with kindness regardless of position(relative "strength") or relationship("return of investment"), not because they arent able to do otherwise, but because they actively choose to be kind.

I'm guessing what happened for the max hit changing was the update they did recently on how damage works. Before at like level 1 str it was try to do the hit, if it was successful the damage would roll 0-1 which lead to hitting 0's more often. But now if it hits it rolls 1-1. This went for higher levels as well, so it could count as a hit but you would roll 0-15 or whatever now it rolls 1-15. When they did it, it also changed what levels you get your next max hit at. Idk if I explained this well.

You can absolutely be too nice. You will be walked over and hurt by those wanting to take advantage of others. You dont have to be a jerk, but you need to take care of yourself.
@StormmbladeАй бұрын
If I might add to this, look up "Evolution of Trust". Nicky Case has a fun and interesting little browser game that walks through the game theory behind being nice or mean. Being nice is a good thing, and it actually benefits yourself as much as everyone else too. But being naieve and too nice just encourages people to take advantage of you. To be a good person, you need to know how to be nice and when to be firm. Take care of yourself!
