Much better are the images than the music. Mitry : a genius ....but not Honneger nor Boulez can match him. And much worst Honneger who obliged the steam locomotive to end suddenly the trip. In the end of all these the sounds of the machines involved in this movie should be and most probably are the real mechanical symph...

Is pretty amazing how this tech worked back in the 30's. Electronic music in an era where that was just unthinkable in the rest of the world, russians had it first!
