I was told I had a very mild case of Spina bifida at 18. At 55 my disc herniated I had to hear a different diagnosis each time I saw a new doctor. Same situation osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis, si joint dis function, finally I asked if I had AS and was told yes. I can definitely relate to this story.

I too am a black woman with AS. I have sero negative arthritis and arthritis meaning it doesn’t show on blood tests but it’s present. I have chronic AS because I can’t even get out of the bed because of my back pain. I hurt! And I don’t get any family support because they don’t understand. Older woman in my family doesn’t even have arthritis and they can’t fathom the pain. Like I am making up my pain. I am having a year flare up with no relief. I was on skyrizi with no help. I am on humira now! Methotrexate and prednisone didn’t work for me.

I guess I'm lucky to have been diagnosed with both 😅

These big pharma doctors are the REAL quack doctors. I was misdiagnosed for 7 years even while screaming for specific blood tests which were denied. When I went private and ordered my own tests "dr google" was right while the big pharma quack doctors were wrong. I've lost all hope in the big pharma doctors. If your doctor refuses to listen, then fire the dr and find another one. Keep on until you find one that listens vs one that lumps everyone into the same category. Be sure to leave a bad review on their site as well. It helps patients avoid those doctors.

ive had this since Nov 2020, change my mattress three times. haven't slept properly in years. Its killing me. developing other health issues as a result. im 36.. i eat and exercise too (cardio) so no idea what im doing wrong. If anyone knows how to cure this curse of a problem, please let me know

This story reflects mine on so many levels. It’s become so frustrating to be taken seriously, even after MRI confirmation of AS, 9 months after two of my thoracic vertebrae collapsed onto themselves spontaneously (no accidents or falls). I pray all women get diagnosed sooner, before their spine collapses 🙏🏻

I'm 33 and have had arthritis in my C7 vertebra for at least a decade. i found myself crying tears of relief after second stretch. i massage my scalenes all the time too, but man...that last stretch was miraculous. i was sure i would only find scams after looking up arthritis exercises on yt, but now i have this pleasurable tingling feeling all over my neck and upper back. i had no idea how much pain i had become used to. cant thank you enough ❤

In my experience the worst thing you can do is nothing. You have to do some exercise every day or the arthritic symptoms will be overwhelming.
