The 98 sub frame is round the 99 and up aka 02 and up are like that the 00 or 01 is square but not in that shape

Yo that bike is not a 98 I have a 98 and a 00 the 02 and up are the ones you can get restyle kits for the tanks have one bolt on top instead of 2 and the sub frame and pipes are different that a 02 or up endless they put new forks subframe cut and welded mounts for the sun frame and the pipe looks like 00 or up there is not way that’s a 98

Out in Missouri, have same issue, I honed the cylinder and put new rings in, reseated the valves. Now I’m only getting 90psi… how much compression did you end up having
