Not for nothing but you ought to watch the Obadiah Parker video cover of this song because the guy does every single word in the song he doesn't miss anything about the lyrics like she just did the two of them that would make it super dope it's acapella song It's a white guy with a beard but he wrecks the song

I think Simp Gardens is an absolutely brilliant poem because: The imagery employed from reason 1 to 6 is the process of planting a crop/flower, from soil preparation to having a full-grown plant. It relates to the start and peak/maturity of a relationship. In the beginning she says, " I've never been into math but, i gotta admit I like our odds". This denotes a 9:1 ratio but I think the significance is found in reasons 7 to 9 (3=odd number) as well as her justification of the ONE reason not to. Reasons 7 is a direct transition from reason 6 in the form of Sunday to Monday and this relates to the start of a new relationship. She says "When the darkness creeps in like Mondays, I wanna meet you there". I think this speaks to remembering/going back to where the relationship started when issues arise. She reiterates this by saying "to remind you..." and this speaks to personal growth in terms of being hurt and becoming closed-off (like roses at night), and then opening yourself up for something new (like how leaves fall off trees and new ones grow). On reason 8 she basically speaks about nurturing a relationship through the troubles and compares in to strengthening the roots of the relationship and Reason 9 relates to being present and spending quality time. But the one reason not to introduces the fear of overdoing these things, however she also changes into a somewhat courageous tone that appreciates the journey portrayed from reason 1-9 and again she goes back to the odds but this time she says "Our odds"

This is Beautiful. I’d recommended changing the title by removing “The Mini Documentary” and changing it to something like “CHIOKE: the makings of a star” or CHIOKE: Between the lines”. Just a recommendation!
