Took video on my phone of the first couple laps in the feature race and will try to post it for posterity. Thanks for sharing this awesome video from a very memorable night. WOO Sprint Car drivers are some of the best in the world and only Formula One compares. I'd really like to those world famous drivers compete against America's best in these cars. 1100hp in a 1600lb car. Wouldn't it be fun to walk the pits and pass out "depends" to Max Verstappen before he attempts to race one of these in traffic. Actually, Max would probably really enjoy this form of racing. He reminds me of Doug Wolfgang, cool, calm, competitor with the prerequisite large cahones.

Thank you for leaving this video up. I’ve been going to races for almost 15 years (in fact, next year will be 15 years), and through all of the spectacular races I’ve seen in 3 different states at about 15 or so different tracks, this one is still my favorite. My favorite driver’s biggest win of his life, a tempestuous feud, and Fulton Speedway in her prime. Doesn’t get much better than that. 8 year-old me didn’t sleep a lick that night. Nice to have this little snippet as a way to relive an unforgettable race.

That track was in no way a 5/8ths mile. Using Google Earth for digital measuring it barely makes a 1/2 Mile around the far outside of the track. Lap times to incorrect track measurements would make it seem faster than it is. Still one helluva fast track.
@davepheilshifter24187 ай бұрын
I'd like to measure it but it's bigger than Canandaigua which is advertised as a half nine. Been to dozens of tracks and never saw one faster than that night. They had just laid a new surface with recycled rubber mixed into the clay. At first it seemed a hit as you can see from the speeds in the video. But later in the night it started to chunk leaving some scary pot holes for the drivers. Sadly, I believe that was the last race at a phenomenal racing venue. Not only was it a great race track that maintained two plus grooves for passing, the people were special and it was a track you could enjoy taking your kids to.

I've never heard of this track. Can somebody tell me where its located and what happened to it? Shit it looks fast
@bassmatt47924 жыл бұрын
Elbridge, NY, just west of Syracuse. The track has changed ownership several times in the past few years. No one can seem to get it going. It's only about 10 minutes away from Weedsport Speedway, which is a top-tier facility.

@@bassmatt4792 Weedsport is such a beautiful facility but the racing is garbage there compared to Rolling Wheels imo. Hate the layout of Weedsport too narrow and not alot of passing at all.

I was lucky enough to be there in the front row. I’ll never forget it. Conservatively around 150 plus on the straights ... then take a 90 degree turn into 1 without lifting. Paul has King Kong size testicles. Damn shame the track is no longer in operation.

Just one suggestion, stop showing the shared victory lane for the Sportsman before you actually show the 2nd Sportsman feature. Some of us watch this with no knowledge of who wins and you kind of take the fun out of it by doing that. No other complaints love the videos, I own a lot of Thomas Videos and plan to buy more in the near future.
