The great thing was they released a great album, had a great look, combined heroin-chic with androgynous glam and balls-to-the-wall rock 'n' roll, and they blew up like a ton of dystopian dynamite and were just---gone. Like the best wank ya ever had, that you'd never forget, and never ever get a wanking like that ever again! A dream made flesh with the blood of a nightmare more surreal than grotesque. (This along with Bowie's Ziggy and Diamond Dogs pretty much ripped the spandex off Rock, leaving us all gloriously naked and splendiferously wanked.)

What I'll never understand about the proto-punk movement (and going into the punk movement) how all these guys afforded dope guitars and basses when they had clearly had no cash. These guys were starting out and Sylvain Sylvain is playing a Custom Les Paul ($4500 in today's money) and although Arthur Kane preferred playing a Fender Tele Bass (expensive enough even in those days) the band also had a 1960's Thunderbird available to them (earliest photos show Thunders playing it also because he started out as bassist for a brief time before Sylvain was nominated rhythm guitarist). I'll never get it because I was playing with Vintages, Squiers and Mexican Fenders well into my 20s and I was in a touring band. You see it in footage of the hardcore bands of the West Coast in the 80s as well- amazing gear before they'd mastered it all. They may have stolen them like Steve Jones I suppose.

Times have changed but it seems to me they have become shittier and more boring, culture -wise. In 1973 I was just 5, but I envy the people who were of age back then. They lived in unique times that will never reappear again...

Seuraavassa konsertissa (8.5.2024) Vuorellaistuja meni huomattavasti paremmin - harjoittelu tekee mestarin 🤔.

Totta.Ei esitetty jälkimmäisellä kokoonpanolla.Eka levyltä lauloin joskus Prinssi-nimistä biisiä.Tuho-nominen biisi sensijaan oli kyllä ohjelmistossa tolta 1.levyltä.

I believe Killer Kane is standing at the bass amp. The cat playing bass, subbed for Mr killer, while he was on the mend. Let’s see if I have this straight, over 50 years ago. The story goes that a jealous girlfriend cut his thumb off, because she was crazy. Anyone want to confirm or disprove?

Feed back ruins it.Some good rock and roll going on there but don't tell me a band can't be too loud when they actually sound clearer in the bathroom.EXESS volume kills the swing. Its rock and ROLL remember.Unless you prefer numatic drills✌️
