The Gran Pushing the lads Lammy...stinking of Chip fat I shouldn't wonder , No6 Tipped in the House Coat Pocket..wonderful Thats a thing of Beauty , this captures the era perfectly , In 73 I was 9 , Crewe was a Scooter stronghold back then , Not Mod as Such , Soul Boys , long length leathers , Amber Screens and Chrome splashers on the Lammy , Skinhead Reggae , being around that stayed with me for 50 years and will continue to do so ,, There is no more fascinating Culture out there IMO 200Kid

Noto con dispiacere che gli operai , pur essendo in una grandissima e famosissima industria , non hanno nessun tipo di protezioni . Guanti , occhiali , cuffie , elmetti ne erano totalmente sprovvisti . A quei tempi , anche se il filmato è di pura pubblicità , gli operai venivano considerati come carne da macello . Da lì a poco sarebbero scoppiati , giustamente , gli scioperi generali per avere maggiore sicurezza e maggiore stipendio .....

The original cine film is mine. The Crystal Palace section was filmed by my dad (which is why I feature a lot in it), and the Cadwell Park section was filmed by me (I wasn't riding that day). Year was 1970. Regards, Chas de Lacy.

Raced against all these guys. Had my road scoot tuned at Norries and on the one occasion I went round dave websters house, (Beaumont Leys iirc) he'd won so many trophies he had to put a few in his toilet 😄 Happy days.

better then.... nowdays theres machette wielding youths with attitude want Everything for nothing.. and thieve anything not bolted down...was never a scooterist myself... but im finding as im ageing i am leaning towards getting one..smiles per mile..im done with high speed sportbikes
