I'm actually not sure if you could include "Ranger School" as part of your deal when you first join the military - I wouldn't be surprise though if you could. But just to be clear, there's a difference between "Ranger School" and serving in a Ranger Battalion. And perhaps you could include "Ranger Battalion" in your orders when you first join. But even if you did - no one is going to a Ranger Batt without first making it through RIP... at least that how it was when I was serving.

@@TrentonCS ah yes... that makes sense - I think in basic on Sand Hill (FT. Benning, GA) I remember some people with orders to airborne school then RIP. It was actually during basic when I first crossed paths with soldiers from a Ranger Battalion, they were from 2nd Batt and apparently were on Sand Hill for some kind of training or something, but I saw them in the PX when we had a brief moment to got 🙂

@ oh nice, yeah i never pursued that, i went to MEPs and they kicked me out because i lied about not ever being on a medication, which was an SSRI i took for about 1-2 weeks before getting off it. The new system they use is good at detecting everything medical wise. I could have figured it all out but i wouldnt have been able to join for another year i believe, because you have to be off for awhile. Anyways im out of highschool, 19, and got a good job doing industrial Radiography at a refinery so im happy
