I always book the Sunset Veranda staterooms...no rocking, smooth, no engine smells, amazing views. Just wish the cabin itself was bigger. The two cabins on either end are larger with bigger wrap around varanda's, for the extra money and on longer sailings it's well worth the extra cost.

The Solstice-class ships are now dated, and Celebrity doesn't appear to be interested in upgrading them. We were on the Equinox in January, and many areas were in poor shape, particularly the cabins and verandas.

I just don't see much difference from a regular balcony stateroom. I know it's supposed to be a tad bigger but but rather lack luster for the extra cost. Is there a benefit I'm seeing other than double sinks?

My grandfather was raised by his 5 aunts in a 2 bedroom apartment in Mobile Alabama. His father died from asbestos in 1929. He went to an all girls catholic school because his 3 older sisters attended and he was granted an exemption. He was a cheerleader. In London, they called him "Buzz bomb" because his snores mimicked the sounds a V1 Rocket made just before landfall. He was trained to use a grenade launcher attachable to the barrel of his M1 Garand. He was raised a pacifist. His unit was the farthest east in the days before the battle of the bulge. Because he knew short hand, a lone Army officer flew to the front lines and scurried him away to safety. His entire unit, including every young man from his hometown, never left that forest. Once home he started a data company, in 1948. Women and Men would break down upon seeing him in the store, the barbershop, or just on the street as he was a reminder of those that he lost. He slay Nazi sons and brothers, by hand, bullet and knife, to keep this country free and his 7 children prosperous. My mother paid for college working 11 hours a week at a restaurant. She recommended I get a job at the microsfot store, and look bill gatews in the eye when I shook his hand. My dad saved over $10,000 in 1970 to go to school before being drafted for Vietnam. I haven't been to the dentist in 6 years and am saving up to buy either shoes or medical supplies, I haven't decided which I can afford based on my deductible. God Bless America.
