We were 1.5 seconds behind the leader by the end of it. It was a small pattern, we got a 15.21 I think. I almost fell around the third and quit riding lol. If i kept riding we would have been winning

Dont be! You might be buying your best friend. I just kept a few things in mind. I wanted a horse willing to learn, a horse that was friendly, and she had to make me laugh. This mare gave me all of it

I think that you are the right person to handle a trouble horse that is challenging you every now and then. But isn´t that exactly what you like yourself to be challenged? You wouldn´t want to sit on a calm and boring horse, would you?

Shanny has her little moments hahaha. She has taught me so much. I much rather learn from challenging moments than sit on a school pony that doesn't want to do anything. Shanny really likes to work and do her job with me. When she rears or gets excited, she's not doing it to be disrespectful, she wants to do the job I tell her to do. I've ridden her English about 6 times. The area where she acted up is where we take off to do the pattern. After our exited moment she understood we are just doing flatwork without the galloping portion hahaha. The rearing is my fault normally. Like I said she teaches me. I accidentally taught my horse how to rear on command hahaha. I wouldn't trade my hot little rodeo horse for anything :)

hey, after 1:40 she obviously was frightened and scared from the oncoming water. Could you convince her that the water was not threaten to eat her, but could be stepped in? Or did she insist on staying away, negelcting your wish?

I just had to get off and stand in the water and she walked into where I was hahahaha. I was able to get on and be in the water while on her hahahaha. We have our little moments.

In jumping and round the barrels she seems to have good potential, but you seem to have difficulties in coordinating your activities, as in the beginning she seemed to be stubborn and out of control after 0:33 and refuses at 0:38. But later on she was wonderful, really good with the barrels - and you were riding her perfectly. If you can manage to use per potential you might have a champion horse. Good luck, Madeline!

These videos were from around the first month I had her to 4 months. A lot of progress was made. During this time she was running our barrel pattern (It's not the standard, its a lot smaller), in 21 seconds. Now she manages to run 16. She has a lot more left in her and we plan to take advantage of that and get 1 percent better every day. She is the best partner I could ever ask for! Thank You!
