I love the video,,,minus the ats buzzz, lol. As an update, flightsystems has made a 1500 replacement that covers the 1000 1200 and 1500. They also do repairs on the original 1500. Also they repair the old 340 controllers as well. this is as june 2024. I do have a question though....do you remove the original transformer array as well?

I have the same kind, SG500MD, and if you pull the board out you will probably find the MOSFETS have the same thermal interface tape with the blue covering still on them. Likely preventing effective heat transfer to the case. It wasn't too hard to pull it apart and get the board half way out to pull the liner off the tape. Maybe a 20 minute job, hoping it fixes the throttling on hot days.

If it's starting and stopping, change your breaker. It's probably rusted all to hell in there, from the tape that's on it. (trapping moisture) inside it. Humidity will rust them out pretty quick.

I was just reading the manual for these and it says you can't replace the SCV and must replace the whole pump. Where did you get the SCV to replace? Did they change their stance or something?

This is the only video in all internet of someone taking apart this specific vacuum. Mine stopped working and it’s got to be the switch or the motor.

One of my units do that if the low coolant temp comes on. Lights up like 6 different alarms.

allowable ampacity (AA) is permitted to be the 90deg when temperature correction factor necessitates application #2 THHN will have AA to be 130A * (say 0.96) Temp Correction Factor for hotter ambient = 124.8A to be connected to a 75deg terminal >> than by using THW at 115A , even though when no correction factor both THW & THHN have AA of conductor ampacity (CA) of 115A to a 75 deg terminal ; this is the advantage of using THHN in hot environments which the NEC permits .

Pro tip I just discovered if you submit a warranty claim in the first two months for defective item they send you a refund check and just tell you to dispose of the defective item. Free pump, boom.

My money is on the low coolant sensor. Top of coolant (and I mean fill it until it’s touching the cap) if that doesn’t work, try bypassing the sensor it might have failed

I think your looking at the Exeter rotor and stator not the pmg, pmg would be behind that rotor.

There is no CURE or FIX for this type of cleaner!!! The first trouble, simply throw away and not waste time trying to fix it !!! You pay for what you get... It's a JUNK vac cleaner ........ Next time Buy a DYSON !!

This looks like the EGR off a C6.6 or C7.2, are you sure its from a C4.4?

They say you should run for 30 hours for break in time without a load ... And they are know to run for 20.000 thousand hours before tear down ....

i just looked at a Ryobi with 2500 hours and it was done, completely worn out. now, if you take care of it, change the oil frequently and run it at 50% or less then yes, i can see getting over 20k hours out of it. i seen an Isuzu generator with 100k hours, and the head has never been off.

Are these the steps I need for delaying the start times? When I do a load test, I need the AC units to completely stop spinning before the Transfer switch swaps to generator power. The office equipment is on battery, so I have time. I want it to delay 4 minutes before the load is transfered.

yes, just change the normal to emergency time delay to 4:00

This generator won't even run my small microwave.for 10 seconds. Maybe the power convertor was on charging the battery at the same time?

possibility, a small microwave only draws about 800 watts. in eco mode, dose it sound like its going full speed before you connect the microwave in? if it is, then that's your problem

@chainsawsandgenerators9952 No, it went full speed on the microwave start up and 10 seconds of running, the microwave shut down with a lo pwr on display. The generator stayed running but wasn't supplying enough power to keep up. Shore power works fine.

Great video! We have been dealing with a problem in a CTG 1200A ATS with the MX150 controller. The thing is, we set up the everything and genset run every test fine from the controller including load test, no load start, etc. The thing is that when we shut down the utility to test like in a real life situation: 1) I takes 1 exact minute to close the start relay, even when the start delay is set to the minimum time. 2) When it finally starts, as soon as the generator runs, the start relay opens and turns the genset off, and closes and open again and again until when stop it manually. 3) I’m not very familiar with the MX150, but the controller screen is supposed to turn off when the utility goes out? Any input on this will be appreciated!! Thanks 🙏🏻

have you tried setting the engine start for something like 10 seconds? you may have lost the coin cell battery, power down the ATS, and remove the back cover form the controller and you'll see it. lastly and most likely the logic is corrupt, if it is send it to these guy's www.flightsystems.com/ i use them a lot, i think the last one we did cost about $550

Let’s say I wanted to lower the output rate to use for filling gopher tunnels with mud without risking blowing mud all over the lawn by accident. Could I cut the impeller blades down smaller and that would do it?

i'd try using a celling fan speed controller something that's raided for something like 1000 watts

@@chainsawsandgenerators9952 ok cool. So I found KBWC-210K it’s a speed controller with a little over 1000watt rating. So you suggest splitting open the cable for the float switch to wire the speed controller instead of the float switch? Your help is much appreciated 👍👍👍

@@chainsawsandgenerators9952 ok so my buddy said try a rheostat. Basically it restricts the power to the pump or something. It’s description is “Newest For Router Fan Variable Speed Controller Electric Motor Rheostat AC 120V” and it has the output plug where the pump would plug in, and a power cable to plug into the wall outlet. So bam ! I guess I am going to try that.

I have one like that, it needs an external wireless adapter to connect to a program on a computer. It was called databox24g, they are around $40 on direct from China websites. Then it took a while to find the netms software, the download link didn't work anymore.

I have the same type of inverter, it needs a seperate wireless data collector plugged into a computer. It's called something like databox24G and for sale on direct from China sites think I paid around around $40 for it. It records the data on a computer you can view it on the netms program, but you can't access it online. Plus side is it will work forever even if the app gets shut down or they go out of business. Some of the newer ones do have wifi, you need to check your paper and see if it says NETMS and databox for monitoring.

yes. just go though the settings, it's the same board for all ATS's with that controller.
